How many other people think this, because I thought I was the only one. Also, what is your theory?

When I was younger I used to have this theory that we were just a genetic experiment being carried out by another species. But I've grown up since then.

I think its possible, I tend to lean more towards the theory of spermia, which is the theory that all life on earth started when an asteroid containing bacteria hit the Earth. It has been proven that some forms of bacteria can survive in a vacuum and intense heat of entering the atmosphere. So I guess this theory could be considered evolution from aliens as well.

lol I saw it on TV- well something like that...this woman was contacting aliens and there was a female alien that told her..many years ago they were travelling from planet to planet leaving their mark - and they changed something in our genetics so we'd evolve and look more like them :|- and then the woman asked the alien if she could walk down the street and have no1 notice her..then the alien said maybe...but if u actually stare at her..you'll see she's different-That part scared me lol- but the woman said the aliens name was sasha..:| sasha come on I don't really believe her- she screwed it up there-or she could just b crazy- it's something 2 think about b/c it's not exactly impossible

I think that your belief is as respectable as any other belief. Don't let yourself disturb by those who criticize your beliefs.

I am a non-theistic fan of planetology (science that studies planets).

I don't trust any data about "ufo's" and extraterrestrials because I don't trust the people who express those data.

I only trust the science that studies hypothetical clues about extraterrestrial life forms: "exobiology".

According to Science, there is no clue yet about extraterrestrial life forms, but clues about other planets & satellites that may bear/have born "extraterrestrial" life forms.

Even though there is no scientific proof about this yet, I believe that it is very likely that there exist many extraterrestrial life forms in the Universe. I just look forward to getting scientific observations about some of them. I believe it is just a question of time.

I believe that among all the likely life forms in the Universe, there may be intelligent life forms, even extraterrestrial humanoïds - why not?

This is my personal belief, and I don't try to convince others to get the same as mine. Many non-theistic planetologists have similar beliefs, but noone of them say it is the "truth".

So, I consider that your belief according to which we earthian humans came from extraterrestrials is a belief as respectable as any other belief.

And you can be sure many non-theistic people have similar beliefs.

Anyway, be fully aware this can only be a belief. I only trust the scientific method (even though I am aware it has its own limits), and according to exobiology, there is no scientific proofs about this scenario.

BUT your belief is not so "silly" as some people may tell you.

Anyway, I suggest you to be careful about all the sects that use such belief.

Many many sects use such a belief. Please be careful about this.

In my view, you can trust the real sciences that study life conditions out of Earth (exobiology), planets & satellites (planetology) and the Cosmos (cosmology).

some other people think so but as for a large majority.... they think otherwise. technically if by aliens you literally mean "an outsider", then most people would agree because many religions believe in a god/gods being the creator of all things

It's far more plausible that life on earth originated from another planet than from some invisible magician.

I like to think that microbes are floating throughout space and when they land on a hospitable planet, they flourish. And, when they don't, they don't.

But, I don't believe aliens landed here and invented humans (as proposed by Sitchin).

Scientologists for one believe that. So who made the aliens you come from? How does this belief help anything? How does it comfort you? What is the point?
