Not in the slightest...it's a very healthy exploration.

The problem comes with delusions of anything enduring beyond cybersex, or issues of betrayal to a significant other, or lastly feelings of emotional attachment that are so strong they cause a person to shut down, become depressed, or even miss work.

Unhealthy....I'm sure it is. Sure, maybe you'd think, "What's the harm in having cybersex" but you never know who you're talking to (pedophiles looking for targets, sex addicts, children that shouldn't be within 50 feet of a computer because they're too naive to avoid dangerous situations online, drug addicts, Phreakers, or Hackers)...and indulging people that ask to see your cam or want to meet or type dirty to you only makes the situation worse for those people that don't want to even hear about cybersex but desire meaningful conversations online.

Less than an hour ago, my friend Saith was contacted by someone that she didn't know who claimed to know her (claimed to have met her/chatted with her a long time ago). Of course, he just used that as an excuse to ask her to show her cam (which she didn't have), and ask her for sex. He actually said he would pay her $2,500 to have sex with her....

Tell me that THAT isn't unhealthy and I'll tell you to find a good psychiatrist.

no not at all but at some point you have to realize thats all it is a cyber world and even if you view web cams too at some point you have to stay in the real world where sex is available

You can't get no STD's from it but you may become MSD (Mentally Sexually Disabled) from it, because you will likely need weirder and stronger stimuli without much reciprocity really.

hmmm.....if it takes you away from doing your job or clouds your sense of reality...yeah.

But then again many sites have the same negative effect if you allow it to control you. Regardless of whether or not it is a porn site.

Peace.

Better get some of the real thing, at least you'll 'be' with someone truly then.
