You raise a very good point. Iran has not broken ANY international laws, it is behaving to the letter within it's agreements and obligations under the Non Proliferation Treaty, the UN security council has turned on Iran because of what they MIGHT DO. yet Israel does whatever it likes and gets away with it every time. the old argument was Israel has a right to exist and is the region's only democracy, well it's not anymore, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey are all democracies now. OK they are not perfect, but then neither are the democracies of the UK where only 22% of the electorate gave Tony Blair a large majority and in the US, Bush has never clearly or cleanly won a presidential election yet. There is a HUGE amount of evidence of election rigging, from mis-counts, vote swapping, disenfranchisement and blatant ballot stuffing all in the critical state of Ohio.
So you have a nation that disobeys the UN resolutions against it, has developed WMD, has invaded and continues to invade it's neighbours, refuses to live in peace with them and is a constant threat and the UN does NOTHING (Because of US vetos)
and then you have Iran, obeys it's international treaty obligations, wants peace with its immediate neighbours and the UN kicks off against it based on what it MIGHT do?

As far as the UN is concerned, the resolutions it passes, or those that it doesn't pass are highly biased in favour of Israel. If anyone of the 5 permanent member vetoes a resolution, which thanks to the US is always the case with any resolution critical of Israel, it is not passed. This was recently illustrated when the Americans vetoed a resolution that condemened this massacre of an offensive currently taking place in Lebanon.
As for Iran, well maybe that doped crackhead president may have called for "Israel to be wiped of the map", and yes they might be pursuing nuclear technology. But judging from the history of Israel, all the atrocities they have committed, all the land they have annexed from their neighbours, I think Iran has a right to totally ignore that joke of an organization referred to as the UN and the right to defend itself. And if that means to develop a nuclear deterrent, then so be it.
Iran only threatened Israel. Israel is literally wiping palestine off the map. If the UN can't do anything about the genocide, ethnic cleansing, massacres being conducted by the Israelis, then they should shut the fu*k up when it comes to Iran.

Honestly the U.N. unfortunatley has very limited power to enforce/encourage their demands. This is due in part to the lack of a significant military force under their control, and also due to the (unfair IMO) veto powers of a few nations. Isreal can do whatever the US allows them to becuase of the US's immense influence. Iran, on the other hand does not have this kind of relationship with any siginificantly powerful nation. I think the UN is one of our best hopes to slowly lower the ammount of conflict occuring on this planet and unfortulantly it seems to be loosing more and more of its power. I dont deny that the UN has its faults as well but i would consider it a decent starting point for greater stability.

iran is always threatening israel and the U.S. if the president of iran gets his way with enriching uranium and succeeds in building a weapon not only will israel face a terrorist attack, but so will the U.S. if israel ever threatened iran, i am sure that it was for a good reason. it is a terrorist harboring country and the commander and chief of the armed forces is probably backing his president. israel has tried in so many ways to compromise with the disgusting demonic terrorist , but the terrorist still terrorize israel. therefore israel is right in what she is doing and should be left along and will probably stop the attacks once the terrorist stop threatening israels existence.

Iran took American hostiges in the Iran Crisis in the 80's. Iran is not this little innocent country that never did anything wrong. They hate Israel and USA and have stated plainly that they want us eliminated.

After what happened to Iraq when they did comply with the UN demands the Iranians would be foolish to comply and deweaponise and stand down the military. The only hope they have of surviving is to arm up as fast and heavy as they can so that any move against them would hurt like hell.

I agree.
American and Israeli actions are way out of line.
America also wanting to give the Lebanese people aid on hand, while allowing Israel to continue to commit murder..is also another example of hypocrisy.
