Hopefully you ladies will read all this before you decide to verbally pelt me for this one, but this truly is your fault more than it is ours. Men don't look at it as bad for girls to have sex unless they are our daughters. It's women who perpetuate this double-standard more than men. Mothers teach their daughters only bad girls like sex, & that good girls stay pure for their husbands. Fathers willingly go along with this mentality because we can bear the thought of someone defiling our baby girls.
However, the thing that makes it more women's fault is that they get this ingrained into their brains, & judge one another by this standard. You never hear a guy tell his buds that he got laid, & the rest of the guys bash him for degrading himself. We pat him on the back & congratulate him. If a girl did the same thing, more likely than not her "friends" would belittle her & make her feel as if she'd committed a crime.
I make a conscious effort not to do this. I treat women exactly as I treat men. More often than not, my female friends are more comfortable confiding to me regarding their sex lives than they are to women as a result. With me, they know they won't be judged. I give them the same "good job" routine I give my male friends. Sex is normal & pleasurable, so I am going to be the last person to make women feel like they are dirty for admitting they have a libido. I think if more people had this mentality, & erased the double-standard, men & women would probably understand one another a lot better, & enjoy dating more.

Because in ancient times, a woman was supposed to wait till she was married to have sex. Anything other than that, made her a promiscuous woman and not suitable for marriage. This was a standard created by man, solely to keep a woman under control. Men on the other hand were encouraged to spread their seed around. Unfortunately, this label for women still exists in today's society. We are in an age where women are independent, financially secure and conscious of their own sexuality. A woman knows what she wants, just like a man and she shouldn't be berrated because of it. Times have changed and so should this narrow minded and sexist way of thinking.

I think it has something to do with the fact that during sex women are recieving body fluids....that's a huge health issue.

Mark Twain said that men created that inequality, while historically treating women as posessions....concubines, etc...

There's also the subconscious element: Women re wired to seek the Alpha Male. Unfortunately they wind up with a lot of Deltas and Epsilons when they sleep around.

No it's not fair. I don't expect my woman to be inexperienced, but I don't want her to have condom brand loyalty either.

It is a double standard which continues to exist for some unknown reason. The guys can't mess around with women if they are not willing, yet how can men judge them for giving them the sex they want? Oh heck, I don't understand it either!

"Slut" isn't used to refer to actual sexual activity, it's used to denigrate a girl or woman who is particularly (or precociously) developed, or to disparage female appearance. Thus, Pamela Anderson is said to dress like a slut, even when married or monogamous.

I haven't heard anyone seriously use either whore or slut since high school, more than 20 years ago. I don't think women who enjoy casual sex are exempt from societal pressure, instead, I think they have found a society who's mores accord with their own.

I have been asking myself that same question for years and years. It is a double standard and it is not fair. There are some people out there who do believe in a such thing as a male whore like myself. I personally think it shouldn't matter as long as you are ok with who you are sleeping with and you enjoy it. Fluck what people have to say....do what you like...do not let anybodys words bother you. As long as you are happy with yourself then fluck the world!!!

It is just a double standard that will probably never change...i think girls need to have more respect for themselves, and then guys will respect them back.

A man can have all the sex he wants and his penis does not change.
A woman's parts change and show signs of wear and tear.
