A bum at the beach, told me he was god...and i didnt believe him at first...but then i was thinking, what if he really was...and he wanted to see who was good and who was bad, by seeing who gave him money and who didnt...becuase thats what the bum said...but i didnt give him money cuase i thought he would just by liqour with it...so should i hvae gave him money, cuase he might be god?

you no what the same thing happend to me but i was coming out of the store. i honestly think you never no who is god and who isnt because either way god wants you to be nice to everyone. god can be a bum without a leg u never no whats coming towards you no days. just becarfull on what you say and think.

He wasn't God.
But you should have given him money because who are you to judge what someone needs to get through their day but God.
Do good and leave the judgements to Jesus.
For all you know he could have been burned with cigarettes as a kid, got his life together then lost his wife to cancer and his only beloved daughter to prostitution. You never know.
God is omnipotent and would not need to test you because he knows and can see straight into your heart.
As people we tend to see the tree but only God himself can see the roots (or circumstances).

hell no just buy him some food ya I lived in the big city there was a god there 2 and a lot of people just brought him Bible's and food so he quit calling himself god the last I seen him he was old Johnny short for Johnny walker

I think you made the correct decision not to give him money, perhaps some food vouchers might be a nice gesture though.

Well, he could have been using that exact same logic against you. Let's say you believed him, so you show "God" how good and caring you are by giving him money. Then he buys liquor because you fell for it.

He is as much God as you or anyone else.
Besides God would know what is in your heart.
Furthermore IF god were scamming people in that way, He sure wouldn't tell people that He was God eh?

He is the soul of everyone and everything. He is in you, he is in me, he is in every living being and he is in every non-living being. We bow down our head to the God in the person in front of us. So, if someone says he is god, believe him because his soul is nothing but God itself.
