Peace for humanity.

Thinking about everything

That goes on in the world.

All the wars and the fights between us.

We are brothers, we are not bound

By blood and even by race

But still we are brothers.

We have the same creator.

We want everything to change for all of us and make our lives better.

Wishing instead of war

To have unity among all the countries

In the world.

And wishing all sickness and poverty

We have right now disappear

From all of us.

And with all the changes happening

All we need is love, harmony, and peace

For all humanity.

Let us forget about our difference

And our cultural block.

Let us become one

Under one banner,

The banner of peace and love.

I love the question.

Respect each other's feelings, thoughts, time and belongings.

Do kind things for their own sake, not because someone else did, first.

Try to see things from another's point of view, so that you'll be less quick to judge.

Fix yourself, before trying to fix others. If you're needy and filled with issues, you're just going to overreact to things others say and do, and imagine everything to be worse than it is.

Focus on positives, sometimes, rather than always negatives.

Look at people, smile, make contact and be courteous, instead of putting on the headphones and looking down at all times, purposely avoiding eye contact -- human contact, for that matter.

Listen to what others have to say, before reacting. Actually hear them, instead of working on what you're going to say as soon as you find an opening.

Offer empathy and support to your friends and family. But be careful not to give unsolicited advice -- ask if they want it.

Keep balance in your life, so that you're not always serious and not always trivial. Fulfill your own needs and dreams. Give yourself what you need to be happy. That way, you won't lean on others (which can inspire guilt or resentment) for your happiness.

Add humor to your day -- and to others'.

Be open and honest as often as possible. This will inspire trust in others. Where there is trust, tensions and suspicions evaporate.

Be compassionate. Know that others feel the way they do for a reason. And know that they have a right to their feelings.

Here's Piaget's (famous psychologist) dialectic: he thought of learning as being the interaction of subjects with objects. When you talk about the world, you do not talk about the world. You talk about your relationship toward that world (that's Piaget's dialectic). Better still, the idea is reflexive: when I talk about you talking about the world, I talk about my relationship toward you who talk about the world. If I want to make it even crazier, I can borrow an idea from Freitag. Language is a sort of background following which everything makes sense... in a very fundamental sense, my perception depends upon my interpretation of the world (because my life is symbolically mediated, my experience of the world is bound by the limits of the symbols I use to represent that same world to me). And that idea can also be reflexively applied because I need to use symbols to explain the above. EDIT Is everything debatable. Yes -- and paradoxically, even this answer is.

I've been getting into the practice of saying "thank you" more often. I think when someone does something out of consideration, like holding the door open for you, or letting you in during a traffic rush, you should repay by saying thanks. People really respond most of the time.
