It's pure lies. Some jerk-offs in the Midwest thought it would be really clever to start some fires around Halloween time and call it "Devil's Night" (Ooooohhhh...so scary! Yeah, right.) .....and the urban legends multiplied like rabbits from there.

Samhain is a pagan holiday unassociated with Satan/Lucifer or Christianity. Halloween has a more complicated history ... being a compilation from many sources and changed over time ... but still unrelated to "evil".
