That is Catholic people, only a remnant of Christianity who pay heed to the pope. Many believe that Catholocism is an unfortunate cult, for your information. I respect the guy, but people treat this MAN like a god and I think it is unfortunate and border line idolotry, same as the statue of Mary (sorry I know it has a name) that stands like 25 feet tall and travels all over the world. The pope is the leader of the CATHOLIC and NOT the Christian world.

No! The Pope has no authority on earth whatsoever and his very position is built on a misinterpretation of the scriptures. The Lord will destroy the Roman Catholic church during the tribulation as per Revelations Ch.17 V1-9

Catholics consider the pope to be their God on earth.
Protestants have many different Gods, but most follow Emperor Constantine & King James as their primary Gods.

Not at all. I'm a Christian, and the Pope has nothing to do with my religion.

You're being silly.
Who do you listen to preach? Do you believe them to be God?
Or do you only listen to yourself? Wow that's dangerous.
Or do you listen to the pastor from you church on the corner (or whatever) of a congregation of 500? What makes him correct? Is you faith just what this one preacher thinks?
Anywhere around the world the catholic Church has the same teachings.
This is what Catholics Believe:
http://www.vatican.va/archive/catechism/ccc_toc.htm
Go to your nearest Catholic Church and take the RCIA Classes.
These are the classes which explain Catholic Beliefs. When you finish the classes you can join the Catholic Church or walk away and know what we believe.
God Bless You, ;-)
