I know that astrology is followed by many people worldwide...what's amazing is that even people who do not believe in God do read stars...

Anyway I would like to understand from the spiritual point of view how astrology works.

And Astrologers are welcome also to explain how they seem to be able pin the lives of many who fall into their star e.g. Gemini so closely accurate...

Before I was born-again, I used to read them a lot and they seemed to say accurately what I was really going through...but after I gave my life to Jesus Christ, as a baby Christian, I went to read them to see if there would be any similarity to what the star I belonged to said at the time...and guess what...THERE WERE NO SIMILARITIES...ever since then my life never overlapped with that in the star I belonged to! (I use the verb "belonged" because I now belong to Jesus Christ)

...so I would like Astrologers and Christians to explain their views on Astrology.

Do it in love please!

It doesn't "work".
Astrology is the study of "effects".
The "effects" of the Material Universe on the Spiritual Universe.
Since the Spiritual Universe is senior to the Material Universe
looking for answers in Astrology is a total trap.
It appears to have some truth in it because the Material Universe is created through our various continued agreements. What we have agreed is real is real.
There are no solutions in Astrology, only agreements.
I too have studied Astrology and find it interesting but only from
this point of view.
If you are looking for understanding of your spiritual nature and potential to create and change conditions for the better do not
look for solutions in Astrology, it does not lead anywhere, there are no answers in it and it will only distract you from your goal.

If your reading your horoscope in the newspaper or something your not gonna get anything good.

Astrology is something more in dept than just what month you were born, and also more than just your Sun sign.

Astrology goes further, such as Your Ascending(Rising) Sign, That is the sign that was in motion the exact minute and hour you were born. So, if your profile dont match your Sun signs profile, maybe it will match your Rising signs.
Or If your born on the Cusp(The Cusp is when your born on the day before or after the Zodiac sign changes) then maybe your personality is more of that other sign. Example my oldest sister Is a Scorpio, born 11/21(the Cusp) but shes more of a Sagittarius, (Begins 11/22)

There is also your mercury sign, Mercury sign would tell you about how you communicate and such.
Just like each sign has its own personality and attributes, so does each planet.
Moon(Emotions) Venus(Love) and so on.

Theres so much more than what people think about astrology.
When people think about it they mainly think about horoscopes, its not just aobut that.
its really awsome. :)

You simply traded one spiritual vice for another.

Occam's razor explains the "uncanny" accuracy of astrological prophecies. The profound and universal desire to "know" where you'll go when you die explains Christianity (among thousands of other religions).

The common denominator: both give you a sense of purpose during the here and now.

Because neither is backed back science, logic, or reason, there's no need to compare them on a right or wrong basis.

A lot of my family used to be into astrology big time, with a lot of occult stuff (I still have an Aunty who is a Shaman (witch doctor)). There is definitely some spiritual war going on though, and it is more predominant today, as people need their spiritual fix in this materialistic world.

The Bible states that it is detestable to God for any one to be involved with fortun tellers and such as that. God is the only one who can know what is going to happen to us....

I don't believe in the stars. I've read many horoscopes and they never tell me anything that is right.
