Egypt and most of Israel are safe. The area around Jerusalem is far from the fighting. If you don't want to get killed in Israel, be really careful crossing streets--traffic accidents kill more people than terrorists and war combined.

Jerusalem is the safest place in the Middle East. If anyone dares attack there, they'll have to answer to 4.5 billion Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Do they live 30 min south or north of Jerusalem? If you want to go, stay south of Jerusalem. Egypt is perfectly safe.

south of jerusalem (including jerusalem) is completly safe. egypt is not exactly the safest country regardless. but dont travel north of tel aviv, and avoid the gaza area. go straight down south through the desert (negev) and make a right when you are parallel to the egyptian border but past the gaza area.

It's better to be safe than sorry. I've nothing against the Jews but do try to avoid problems / catastrophies where possible. U might want to reconsider skipping the trip to the Middle East at this period of time.

As long as you don't go up north, you should be fine. Things around Jerusalem are pretty quiet. Israel is a beautiful place to visit- don't miss this chance!

It is not ecommended to travel to that part of the world these days.
Read the "Travel Advisories" from the U.S. State Department, (www.state.gov) where it explains whether or not travel is allowed/recommended and other precautions you should take.
