the better question is how much longer til DVDs go out........... five years?
CD's are old school now with Digital Music on the rise. Soon enough it will be the same story with DVD's. WELCOME TO THE DIGITAL AGE

What are V.H.S. tapes? just kidding, they will definitely become obsolete because everything is becoming digital. Just look at cassette tapes, many cars these days don't even have a tape deck. And look at the 8-track, that thing was gone before I was born. So yes, V.H.S tapes are slowly going to be lost in memory.

Yes. When you go into your local video store, look at the rental section of DVD's vs. VHS tapes. Most video stores have given up the rental section of VHS tapes altogether. Keep them if you have a lot of movies you have bought. Eventually they wear out, replace as needed with either a regualr DVD, or the next thing to phase out DVD's...Hi Def DVD's or Blu-Ray. Yes folks, we have another VHS vs. Betamax war in the brewing.

Yes, in fact, they are obsolete now. I would guess that very shortly (in a year or two) you won;t be able to buy them.

With the price of DVD players going down down down, I would say that they already are. It's just a matter of time before they stop making them altogether.

Yes, just try renting one. Or even try buying a blank VHS, there out there but very rare
In other words VHS is dead , it just doesn't know it.
