He is 6 going on 7 and he is so skinny . He is tall and weighs 42pounds, you can see all of his ribs and his thighs are not much bigger than his calfs. He eats but not alot at a time and he says he is hungry and will eat alittle then a couple of hours later he is hungry again. Im going to ask the Dr. also but just wanted to get some ideas on what to do.

Don't get too worried about this. Your son will sense your worry, and may make him eat less. Nature generally has a way of taking care of this, and maybe he's going to be a small person, and there is nothing wrong with that. Let him enjoy his childhood, lighten up a bit.............LOL.......:)

kids tend to be more in tune with their bodies, maybe he just doesn't need to eat a large amount at a time for his energy requirements. as long as he's not sick or anorexic, :-), i don't think you have to worry. just make sure he gets wholesome food to eat whenever he says he's hungry, and let him get plenty fresh air and exercise. you might want to give him a multivitamin as well, just to cover all bases
