thats simple! as a nurse u get to treat gunshot wounds and as a cop u get to MAKE gunshot wounds! which one sounds funner to YOU?!

If you want to help people then don't be a cop. Police are mostly there to raise money for the local and state government in the form of traffic citations. Sure they come to you, if you call them cause you're in trouble, but when they show up, the only thing they are looking for is to call an Ambulance and delegate who, if anyone, is at fault.

well those are on opposite side of the spectrums, aren't they? it's up to you. they're both very honorable professions. nursing requires school and a job with the police requires training at an academy. depends on what you're most suitable for too.

I was recently thinking the exact same thing and still haven't decided. Police pension plan makes it very appealing (if you are thinking long term).

i would suggest you to be a nurse. Theres a lot of suffering around us and i hope you would nurse humanity back to health.
