Really your best way of loosing weight is by a calorie controlled diet, that's how I've done it. 2.5 Stone so far!

I made up a spreadsheet to keep track of my daily intake.

I've also found that since I've been counting the calories I've eaten more fruit to satisfy those sweet cravings and more veg to bulk my intake without raising the calories too much. By doing this I've noticed my general health has improved slightly and I'm not hungry all the time.

Exercise with calorie counting would be even better! Especially if your planning to get pregnant, you need to eat a balanced diet to make sure that your well stocked up on vitamins, minerals and essential fats and getting fitter will help you cope with being pregnant more.

Another tip for pregnancy start taking Folic Acid before you get pregnant it will help the foetus to be healthy.

Reno is right sex burns calories quite a lot.

I think that you're right to loose excess weight before having a baby because afterwards it's hard to find time for it and you don't have to put on that much extra while you are pregnant.

Don't use pills or do anything drastic as that can affect your chances of getting pregnant. I would recommend an exercise routine or walking or some type of cardio that you can maintain like three times a week and eating healthier foods and smaller portions with a couple of low calorie snacks in between. That way when you get pregnant you can keep doing the same thing without harming the baby. Good luck!

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

As long as you aren't pregnant now, any diet will do. However, with a plan of getting pregnant, you should make sure that your body is stocked up on nutrients, calcium and vitamins.

Low carb can be great, but make sure you keep in there a lot of veggies (and some fruits can work too). If you skip milk, load up on cheese and yogurt.. it is good (and it works) to skip white bread, pasta, white rice, potatoes... pizza... or to have them on special occasions.

and, last but not least, remember that calorie intake DOES count, even on low carb.. and don't forget that Dr. Atkins died fat, of a heart attack.

Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg, especially spinich and green leaved veg as they contain folic acid.

Plently of exercise, wlaking and cycling are supposedly the best, maybe go swimming too, these can all be continued into pregnancy aswell so you dont need to give up once carrying.x

Cut down on food. Eat less (use a smaller plate) and try to go for healthy foods, like green leafy veg, veg high in vitamins, fresh dairy food, fish (good for the bones) and fruit. No sweet drinks or cakes etc and please if you smoke - STOP NOW before you fall pregnant. Good luck and all the best

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying. Loose as much as you want to !
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

P.S
Regular active exercise is advised with all weight loosing medicines and remedies :-) Take care

Decrease caloric intake by 500 per day, walk briskly 30 minutes a day 5-7 days a week, and drink lots of fluids (not pop, juice or anything sugary, though.)

i would recommend going to see your doctor first. If you take advise on this from strangers they you could put you and the baby at risk. Ask yourself why you need to lose weight. Is it because you are too fat ar is it because of the extra pounds you put on in pregnancy.

On breakfast, go ahead and consume orange juice. But throughout other day, focus on water instead of juice or soda
