The Bible is the truth but a lot of epistles shoudln't be taken too literally . It's interpretation if fallen into wrong hands are in such a way made convenient for that particular person. Leave that to the scholars and experts who dedicate their lives studying it such as the clergy and priests. The newspaper is supposed to be factual but sometimes become opinionated by biased writers. It reflects more of the here and now. Both are history in the making.and used as references. The Bible is Holy and the Word of God.He inspired the apostles to write it. The newsaper is definitely writtten by fallible mortals.

So many people also 'believe' the Da Vinci Code that it boggles the imagination. It is clearly marked 'fiction'. You do not have to believe everything in the Bible - ie. Noah's Ark as it would have been totally impossible to hold two of every kind of animal on board. Or that the world is only 5,000 years old. Both are ridiculous and are not a tenet of religious belief. The Bible was written in a way so that people 1700 years ago could understand the parables. They did not have the benefit of modern technology or the ability to date prehistoric bones but people of that time would not have been able to comprehend 'millions of years'. Take care, God bless...............

Well, all sorts of people have tried to find historical evidence that the bible, jesus and god and all that is true, and so far, they can't find any real evidence. That doesn't mean they never will, but for now, if you believe in the bible, it's faith based and not fact based. There is no evidence whatsoever. The reason that people believe newspapers over the bible is because the people who write must check their facts or they loose their job. They can't tell lies, or, if they do they get to loose their job.

It don't believe both.
I KNOW the bible is a pile of rubbish. And I suspect the newspaper to be just the same... so I can't trust either one of them.
BUT some people will believe the newspaper because it doesn't claim to be writen by a god. Newspaper are writen by men and women. They can be wrong, of course, but most of them do their best to deliver accurate news while the bible only seeks to enslave people and lead them to believe in a false god.
does that answer your question?

When the newspaper makes a mistake it prints a retraction. When the bible make an error it burns people at a stake.

Because the newspaper isn't written by a person hundreds of years ago who was probably mad. I'm not saying I don't believe in god, I'm just saying if he wanted us to read something he'd chisel it out of the side of a mountain. Not outsource it to some human whackos who constantly change what was originally written and then they make a castle in Italy and run around in paper hats giving out crackers and wine-tastings.

They are blinded by the devil and their own wisdom which make you foolish.
Luke 24:25 - Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Romans 1:21 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:22 - Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 2:20 - An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
Romans 10:19 - But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
1 Corinthians 1:18 - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:20 - Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1 Corinthians 1:21 - For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 1:23 - But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 1:25 - Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

They choose not to believe the bible because that would mean that they would be held responsible to do what is written in the Bible.

I think it is because they are living the news as it happens whereas the Bible is something that was written thousands of years ago and no one living can validate what it says as the truth.
