Many people regard their faith and religion as a very important and serious part of their life, that not only affects them in this life, but through their beliefs affects the outcome of the next life. (after death) What may not be a part of your life, or taken as serious doesn't mean that others believe or feel the same way you do.
This doesn't only apply to religion either. This applies to just about anything you can name. What is important or serious to one, may differ for another. Keeping an open mind, or at the least showing respect for one another is what matters the most. Each one of us has the right to believe or not believe in something or someone however we may choose. That's what free will and free choice are all about.
