umm...a PAY STUB?...an INCOME TAX RETURN?
or are you paid "under the table" in cash only and in addition
you don't claim your tips on your return?
This could present a problem.

As the majority of your earnings are not in the form of a paycheck, showing paystubs is probably not sufficient. What you will need to do is present copies of your tip claim forms. This is how your income is documented for the IRS, so it should be sufficient to convince a bank that you are actually earning money.
It would also probably be a good idea to include bank statements showing deposits roughly equivalent to the amounts claimed on your tip claim forms. The combination of the two is probably as close as you can get to what the bank really wants, which is a normal pay stub.

Well if you do not receive any type of hourly wages and only get tips you can show them your last years income tax forms. But I have been bartending and waitressing for a few years and never had to show any kind of proof. I just fill out the income info and that's it. I just got a new CTS and did the application online and took the confirmation number into the dealer, signed a few papers, showed my ID, SS card and that was it.

It depends on where you are trying to get an auto loan. These are easy to qualify for, so you may want to give them a try:
