good video. i just saw it a little earlier today in fact. maybe if it gets played enough, it'll have an effect and people will begin to doubt prayer. let's hope so because as long as people rely on prayer, they're not gonna come up with and support real solutions.

I don't know sometimes people actually get better from believing prayer's power. Kind of like a placebo effect in that it causes the mind to actually initiate healling because it believes something is introduced that actually has the power to heal. It doesn't usually work because again it is just a "sugar pill". Ease up on the Christians and other religious groups, I honestly think if they didn't have their "Crutch" they wouldn't be able to do anything except for fall into mass wide depressions. The world would then be a much gloomier place. As the saying goes, "Ignorance is Bliss" and although some part of the population has to know and work toward truth there is no reason to doom the rest of the population to depression for no reason. How many people can actually think about and accept true oblivion without losing it. I can but I know a lot of atheists that can't and try do anything else but think about it.

We only know in part in this life, this existance, this reality. But there is coming a day when all will be revealed to us, and then this shadow-time will be replaced by the full light of the revelation of God. The fact that God has chosen to heal thousands from the time when he made his personal appearance here in the person of Jesus down to the present day should speak to you in blinding light, but you have your back turned to the light so you see only your shadow made by the light, and you mock and curse it because it doesn't heed your beck and call? God is sovereign and will do as he wills and as he sees as best. Let me challenge you: Read the new testament to hear about all the times when God DID heal people. If he wants to heal an amputee, he can, and some believe that there is coming a day soon when creative miracles such as that will happen, but the most important healing of all, past present and future is the healing of a soul, and that is inner. When you are confronted with the truth, can you accept it? Or will you turn away because of your preconceived notions and bigotry? "You will find me when you seek with ALL your heart."

You know, there's an episode of the cartoon Futurama in which the robot character Bender gets lost floating around in space. While floating, a small meteorite hits him containing life, and a society florishes on his stomach that treats Bender as their god. First, Bender tries doing everything they ask of him, but he finds that their requests are either impossible to do, will hurt too many others, or are simply too many and too trivial for him to deal with. Secondly, Bender tries ignoring them, but they quickly end up destroying themselves in War. Finally, while floating through space, Bender apparently meets "God", who gives him a word of advice on being God: "You know you're doing it right if it looks like you're doing nothing at all". Sure, bad things happen, and sure, some, maybe most, maybe all prayer is superstition, and that prayer's forthcomings are simply superficial coincidences, but this does not disprove the fact that God exists, and even if God does not exist, this does not disprove the fact that religion has helped make lives better for billions of people across the centuries. Freud once called religion "the crutch of society", but what is the matter with a crutch? It is made to help one get around? Sure, there are way too many people who take religion way too far, and this always ends up with people getting hurt, but you can't look at simply the bad side of things.
Wow... That was the longest and probably most meaningful answer I've posted... And it all started with a Futurama reference... What's wrong with me?

what's sad is that i actually watched this tripe lol.... a horsehoe?
ok, the guy say, in the same breath, that you should believe god, but you already know the dice won't roll six sixes. that's going against hwo you pray! believeing that you've recieved it! That is ther error here (among many) you can't believe you recieve it and then expect to not recieve it. If you expect not to recieve it, then you do not have faith in God. "your faith has healed you" jesus always said.
Fact is, I have seen many miracles in the name of Jesus of the bible. not amputees being healed, per say, but blind poeple seeing, lame walking, poeple being healed of terminal illness such as AIDS, cancer, most of which have had the doctors convinced they would die, and then afterwards were astounded at the speedy and complete healing. My cousin was even raised from the dead as a child!
and I have seen way to many things like this happen for me to count them as coincidence, even if I tried.

if you were a true atheist then you would not ask this stupid ? because you believe that there is no god and here you are stating that there is one, Right? IF you want a correct answer then you need to read the bible. Just because he dose not heal limbs doesn't mean that he doesn't find other ways to make people whole what do you think prosthetics are?

I think prayer has a lot to do with personal power, as in programming our minds. It's like that saying "Think positively." When you think positively, positive things tend to happen. It's all about influence.
I think there is something to prayer and lucky charms, but not in the way people think these things should work.

I feel sorry for you.. You seem to be a very sad person. Fair enough that you don't believe in god but why preach this? Let people believe - it's their choice. They don't need proof from some website made by a bunch of atheist geeks such as yourself... It is in people's hearts that they know god exist and that is all that matters to them.
For your information I'm not a Christian.

Actually it has been statistically proved that there is a higher mortality rate for Christian cancer patients who seek faith healing at the fountain of Lourdes, France than for non-Christians who follow their doctors orders.
Let the jack a**ses pray for you it will make them feel so much more superior to you.
