I wonder if you mean an Electronic Photo Album like this:

That one is 8" x 10", so is quite costly at $300 but there are smaller, cheaper ones if you look further on Amazon or elsewhere.

You upload photos to them from your PC or camera, much in the same way that you transfer tunes to an iPod.
