Saying such a thing is obviously shooting himself in the foot, as evidenced by you turning around and asking our opinion on it. Either he had a lapse in judgement or has a lot of guts, to have said that aloud. The fact that you do not have his preferred body type, but are still his preferred woman, says a great deal to the credit of you both. To his credit, it shows that he has put personality and affection before looks, which you know many men fail to do. To your credit, it shows that your personality was strong enough to attract someone who may not even have been looking at you in that way. So congratulations to both of you.
But really, how often is someone's 'type' the only type they'll accept? For instance, the type of woman that catches my eye quickest is probably tall and lean, but my last two serious relationships were with short, full-bodied women. And they were quite beautiful in my eyes, even more so as time passed and affection grew.

Hey that means he really is deep into you. You may look exactly like some other person. You are only different by your personalities which is unique to each person.
It also means he is not superficial and only in to how a person looks. but he associates a personality with a person's looks.

i would not worry. its just everywhere he is with you, something about someone reminds him of you! he's thinking about you!!!
