I suppose your baby is tired of porridge and cereals.. Imagine you are the baby and only eat cereal everyday.. tiring right? hehe.. try to give him cereal, porridge and bread different day (e.g Monday Wednesday Friday and Sunday: porridge. Others cereals and bread) and probably keeps his food colourful and interesting. =) Baby loves bright colours (e.g in his cereal you can add in bananas or fruits that is soft) =) Potatoes is a good choice for carbo also. you may wish to see recipes online to discover new baby food for alternative choices. =D However, sometimes the prob does not come from the food. I watched this TV show b4 there is this kid suffering from food phobia but is because his parents keeps quarrelling and "FORCING" food in his mouth and scream at him to shallow it. That will makes a kid more rebellious and stop eating. I bet seldom cases like this happened but just to let you know only.

Try, to give him variety of tastes in porridge, cereal, bread. Dried banana powder is also a good try. But each time give him a different flavour. He will eat. The baby is not taking one food because of getting bored with a particular taste or form of food.

He is at the age where he should be having finger foods. Peas, bits of cooked carrots, toast is good for teething, He needs a wide variety of adult foods, in very small pieces, so he can get enough nutrients. At this age, my children were eating whatever we were having, except chopped up really small. You have to teach him to chew when he gets teeth, or he may develop the habit of swallowing food whole, and he could choke.

At 11 months old he could be eating diced up vegetables by now. Cut up some vegetables in very small pieces. Boil them until soft. Carrots, peas, potatoes, green beans. Or just used cans of vegetables, they just need heated up.
He can also eat small bites of hot dogs. Cut them in half, then in half again, then dice them up. He can eat all of this even if he has no teeth. It is all soft enough that it can be mashed against the roof of his mouth with his tongue. Yogurt, mashed potatoes, pudding. Bananas, applesauce, french fries. Spaghetti (just cut it up before you give it to him) hamburger meat (chopped up) chicken, cut in very small pieces. Cucumbers(diced), tomatoes, Kiwi fruit. Canned fruit is great , too.
He can eat almost anything that you would eat . Just make sure it is cut up small enough (nothing like steak of course, just easily chewable foods) .
Hope that gives you some ideas.
