I own a 1998 Nissian Altima, and awhile back ago the tape deck in the car would no longer play my tapes. Whenever the tape feature is on, it makes a clicking noise and then gives me a tape err. I noticed my cd player also gives off a fritz noise whenever the weather seems to overheat. I was wondering, is there a way for me to fix the tape deck without replacing it because I would like to hook my cassette adaptor up in the car for my iPod.

Why don't you just buy a cd player with an aux. input, they aren't too expensive and that way you can plug your ipod right into the jack on the front of the car stereo..

The cassette adaptor might work even if tapes don't play. Or you could buy an FM transmitter for your ipod.
