Bible disclaimer:
The following is a fictional story and is intended for religious control of your mind only. Audiences if impressionable adults and children who are unable to tell the difference between reality and fantasy are so warned. There is no resemblance to living or dead although it is is implied and intended.
This document is not historically or scientifically accurate, it is utterly without foundation and has been totally disproved by all scientific findings and studies. Please use as a reference for any and all spurious or bigoted causes as it is unquestioned and accepted despite being wrong.
Please do not really use any bible rules or moral standards or examples to base your life on or you will risk jail (unless you become clergy and can hide). However, pretend you do follow biblical rules, and pretend they are good (much easier if you don't read them).
Final warning ... never use your intelligence when reading under any circumstances.
publishers are not responsible for your lost life.
(now a comment)
If religion had to submit to truth in advertising and content then they would be soon run out of the country!
The same disclaimer could front most religious books.

No. I don't want anything in the bible that God has not inspired. Now if God wanted to add a disclaimer I wouldn't have a problem with it. He might want to reword your disclaimer though. The bible does claim that it is based on true events and does contain historical facts.
I am sure if you wanted to you could create your own publishing company and add and edit what ever you want out of the bible. You could call it the Angry Atheist Bible. You could fill it with commentary on how to discredit the bible. I would be interested to see if you could back up the claims of your disclaimer, when In my own studies I arrived at the opposite conclusion.

A better disclaimer: this book is completely and utterly true. It is without error and should be believed and followed. It is in fact the word of God.

yes. if cigarettes and cd's with dirty lyrics are required by law to have warnings, then the bible should DEFINITELY be required to have this label. it is without a doubt one of the most hateful things i've ever read, and what's so scary is that people believe it.
--------------------------------------
CEM, god isn't real. i mock him every day like you wouldn't even believe, and swear at jesus regularly, and not once have i been hit by lightning. people like you should be required by law to keep a certain distance from children at all times. fortunately, your scare tactics will become less and less effective the more that people begin to see that mocking god doesn't hurt them.

No, because people should be able to discern for themselves if they believe it's true, or not. They have the choice in the end, and even if it HAD it, that wouldn't change things. They'd still choose to believe or not believe.
