My personal favorite is a quote from the 'Little Bear' books by Else Holmelund Minarik. "Don't worry, Little Bear, everything will be alright", which has the flavour (and reminds me) of Mother Julian of Norwich's words "All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."
Words of comfort are really simply that. They don't aim to give practical advice but are the spoken equivalent of a gentle touch and a hug - an indication of love. They are a promise that even the darkest cloud has a bright edge somewhere and that bad times generally do get better, even though not always in the expected way.

What God has planned
for people who love him
is more than eyes have seen
or ears have heard.
It has never even
entered our minds!

How do you compare two rainbows? My best friend told me that when I was 20 and just starting to date my now husband. He was divorced (his wife left him). I guess I had issues about him willing to spend the rest of his life with someone and how I would compare to that.......her loss....

The last time I took a meditative journey, I heard,
“You really are going to be ok. Be patient.”
Long story short, it was a massive relief.
