its just that i asked people what they think about muslims or islam and the only answer i got was ..terrorists and people wearing robes with bombs underneath them....people is this the only thing ...... islam is against the killing of innocent people .. and the people that claim themselves muslims are actually extremists ...think it for a while and then answer it...

I can understand how you feel, having been in the same position as you are (I am an ex muslim). Very few muslims are terrorists - agreed. However in a recent poll of muslims in Britain, 13% of the muslims said they were sympathetic towards terrorists. Quite a lot of muslims say that there is no other option for muslims as they are being attacked with overwhelming force by countries such as the US & Israel. However please consider....
The country of Tibet was invaded & has been occupied by the Chinese. Did the Tibetians retaliate by killing even one innocent Chinese who only crime was that he was a Chinese?
6 million Jews were killed by the Germans in World War 2. Did the Jews kill even one German civilian in retaliation or burn one church.
The native Red Indians in the USA have been brutally displaced from their original lands. Has even one turned towards terrorism?.......
Whether you like it or not, let me tell you there is a streak of violence & intolerence in Islam which is manifested in its people. As the saying goes - as the religion, so the people.
Now don't give me the standard sentence - Islam is for peace but the people do not follow Islam as it should be followed.
Do you know that there has been terrorism in Islam right since since the death of Mohammad. No other religion in the world has such a steady record on terrorism. Ali fought against them (the Kharijites) Ali was killed by a terrorist, Muaviya was almost killed by a terrorist. The Kharajites used to kill pregnant women & children during those times.
After seeing Islam in action, don't you think there has to be something in Islam that turns men (& women) towards terrorism cutting across countries, races and cultures. Terrorism is unknown amongst hindus of India. Most muslims in India are hindu converts. So how do you explain terrorism in Indian muslims. The ONLY difference is the religion.

Many governments called freedom fighters in their country terrorist to justify killing them or even exterminating them.
US said Iraq had WMD to justify overthrowing Saddam.
We all seems to justify the mean to achieve the end.

i don't, extremist 'christians' so they call theirselves, blow up abortion clinics. the cult of davidians in waco, did whatever it was that they did. fred phelps and his clan of hatemongers picket at funerals that 'God hates the troops' and 'God hates fags' and they think the troops are fag supporters because they fight for a country that has homosexuals in it. but God isnt about hate, so none of these pyschos who claim to be christians are christian, we can tell by their 'fruit'. so any extremist religion, it could be safe to say, will do something 'extreme'. like the suicide bombers do in the name of allah.
