Get over yourself and open your eyes. The rest of the world is starving while you contemplate what kind of car you will buy next.

I would chose not to actually. Unless God inspired me too at which point I would have no control over that. However the original Bible is THE BIBLE. It has never been amended or added to by God and It will not be. God's word is the same yesterday today and forever. If you read the whole book, there isn't anything that is not covered.

I would have it tell Christians to stay away from the Old Testament. The Old Testament was not written for Christians because there were none before Christ. Christ basically re-wrote the laws governing all concepts of moral values.
Stay away from the Old Testament and you don't have to spend your life defending the contradictions between the old laws and the new, between the probable myths and fairly tales written down and accredited to God, between the events of known history and the impossible events as recorded in the old book.
Stay away from the Old Testament if you want to call yourself Christians.
Also, practice what you preach. You do that and I'll love you even if I don't always agree with what you believe.

"There is no trinity, do not makes partners with Almighty God. It's a grave sin. Stop worshipping Jesus, he was a Messenger of mine, a man, but not a god. Remember the first commandment? Worship Me alone. Another thing... I, the Lord your God, created the world billions of years ago, years as laborers would count it. I did not magically make everything appear in an instant, but took my time because I can. I'm God, remember? I made things in an instant, but my ways are not your ways. Yes, evolution exists. I created it, so therefore it's good.
Fundies, chill out! Enjoy life more!"

It would correct all of the misconceptions and errors made by people rewriting it to fit their needs. It would point out all the areas that were borrowed from other ancient cultures to make a story. Like the great flood, which in ancient Bablylonia was a myth over 200 years before Noah, and they are very similar in details. It would also point out all of the holidays that christians celebrate that are actually rooted in pagan rituals, Christmas and Easter to name two.

I would write whatever God told me to write. Isn't that the qualification for it being in the Bible in the first place?

Even Jesus said this, "the first law is to LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy strength, mind, and soul; the second is like unto it... Love thy neighbor as thyself. Upon these two laws rest the whole of the law..."

I think it would be arrogant to assume that any human has the right to add to, or take away from, the Word of God, without His express permission.
