i want to change the speakers in my car but the + and the - are not marked the wires are all different color's

it is a 97 ford tarurs i know the + and - on the speakers i had them before i got the car there was no speakers in the car

You can take a little AA battery and touch it to the speaker wires, and watch whether the speaker moves in or out. If it moves out, that means you have the positive and negative matched to the battery, if it moves inwards then you had it out of phase.

first off they should be marked on your car speakers somehow .... basically everything in every car i know of is marked somehow in some nonchalant way .... mine werent marked + and - when i took them out but intstead of the + - they had a faint red dot on the positive terminal for the speaker .... second write down / remember which color is positive ( which is usually a red solid colored wire, if not red then its whichever solid color it is ... leaving the one with the stripe negative)

another way some car manufacturers do it is make the darker wire in the pair the positive (ex light blue and dark blue)

after that it should be self explanitory
