Hey, I am a friendly girl that is a little bit shy but I'm always laughing and smiling. I notice some guys give you that "look" if you are just friendly to them. Why is that? I don't want to give off the wrong impression, but I don't want to change my friendly habits either. I definitely am not the flirty-type, people just always say I'm always nice to everyone. it depends on HOW you are being friendly to the guy...
if you don't wanna be misunderstood as flirting, avoid gestures such as physical contact like playfuly hitting a guy's shoulder or even touching him while you are talking like leaving your hand for a long time on his lap, he might get a hard on in an instant, or leaving your hand or arm too long on his shoulder while your talking "Friendly"... be formal if you wanna be friendly yet not always... and avoid eye contact longer than 3seconds inorder NOT to be misunderstood as flirtin...

Yes most guys do mistake friendliness from a woman as flirting. You see guys don't have a clue. They just really want to get laid all the time. That is what drives their mind set.
Don't worry about it most guys who think like that are too clumsy and dork like to actually pick up on you without it looking like a train wreck.
Just be your self. The guy that will pick up on you and succeed you will never see coming.
He will make you think it's your idea and he really is not that interested in you. He might be but he won't let you know. Not for a while.

Well, you are the flirty type, flirting is not what you think it is obviously. You can flirt with your grandmother, and it just means that you like her, but yes, guys take friendliness as flirting, they take it as a cue that you are approachable, don't change, this is good, you obviously have alot of frinds and this is my personality too, I am friendly to everybody, unless I am in a really bad mood, then i say nothing.

Yes. I've had it happen a few times. I even asked a girl recently if there was a little something flirty going on between us to clarify the situation. She was nice & just told me no, that she was just trying to be friendly. It was all really cool, so maybe you should just do like she does, & politely clarify your intentions. Can't blame a guy for hoping you're open for more, you know?

There will always be different people having different definition for your behavior. You will just need to know people alittle bit better before being too friendly as guys sometime are sensitive and egoistic about a gal flirting with him. Just keep cool before being too friendly with someone you just know and you'll be fine my dear.

I don't think there is a way to put a stop to friendliness because someone no matter what will mistaken it as being flirty. Just so not touch their hand/arm or anything if you do not like them in a romantic way.

U are just like me i mean everything U just said describes me. I asked a guy about that and he told me that i just needed to stop being so friendly but i was like it is just me but U do have to learn sometimes to be a little less friendly and as that old song says, u can't show your teeth to every guy u meet

Guys have one thing on their minds from puberty to death.
Getting laid.
Period.
Doesn't matter what their orientation is, or how shy/bold/ugly/good looking they are.
So a friendly smile could easily be misunderstood, especially in younger guys.

some guys do flirt but u need to find the differnce between the guy who flirts and who doesnt. U can chcek that guys charcter by talking him for some time and chceking his passt records if you have any of the source.
