Truly, none of these events are related. The name of the game is wealth, and world domination, something we accused the communists of in VietNam. It is essentially the same war, fought for the same reasons, using the same old tired rhetoric. Scare us to death with lies about the "boogeyman" and they can control us and do anything they want. Works everytime. We haven't learned a thing from past history, thus we are doomed to repeat it.
Something to bear in mind, anything that comes out of the mouths of "Cons is a lie and the meaning is the exact opposite of the spoken word.
The media bears a huge responsiblity is the misinformation campaign they're running FOR the Whitehouse. The media knows the truth, and although they have a moral obligation to tell us (we have a right to know the truth), they won't tell us the truth.
The same things happened in VietNam, the Walter Cronkite stepped out and started reporting the TRUTH ON AIR during the evening news. He believed he would be fired or worse for it..Instead, it eventually lead to the downfall of LBJ and later the end of Richard Nixon (Watergate). CBS's ratings went through the roof since he was the only media person reporting the truth even back then.
It's about money, power and more money.
I read some place that Israel started this by kidnapping 100 Lebanese...then Hezbollah, kidnapped 2 Israeli's. Next thing you know, there's a huge war...It's designed to draw attention away form the anarchy in Iraq and to draw Syria and Iran into the war for the US..
This war is no different than VietNam. It's full of CIA operations, activities and psych-ops...
chk this out...I have a lot of information..and btw, CNN ran the senate hearings live on 9/11 yesterday where it was admitted it was an "inside job."
here's an interesting op-ed

WHY DO THEY HATE US?
I would like to tell you a story that you have heard over and over again. My story is the same but a few of the words are different—may make it tolerable to read again.
Israel using it’s mighty military has collected 9000 hostages from the various neighboring countries. The Palestinians captured an Israeli prisoner seeking an exchange for some of their hostages, The terrorist nation, Israel sent uncontested planes, tanks and mass of troops to terrorize the civilians in Gaza. They destroyed property, infra structure, killed a hundred or two (who’s counting?), many of them women and children.
An emotionally upset Palestinian, sacrificed his life taking out half a dozen Israelis. The terrorists (Israel) were not going pass up this opportunity. They returned to terrorize the Palestinians.
In the mean time Hezbollah seeking the exchange of Lebanese hostages, took two Israeli captives. The mighty Israeli army bombed and invaded Lebanon, killing large number of civilians. The fight continues, far more Lebanese losing their lives than Israelis.
The victims seem to persist in following this negative formula. Strange? Not so. History has abundant examples of this similarity. When the Germans occupied the many nations they conquered the victims would kill the occasional German when opportunity would permit. The payback: the Germans would gather 100 or so citizenry and shoot them in cold blood. The killing of the solitary German did not stop. 200 years of British occupation of India resulted in many killings and severe reprisals. The Algerians killed many Frenchmen etc. etc. Occupation by a foreign power is not taken lightly. We may point our finger at terrorist organizations that organize the insurgents in Iraq. In truth they are Iraqis who are desperate to get us out of their land.
Not only do we not lift a finger to help the Palestinians and Lebanese but also when the Israeli shrapnel is removed from the victim’s body, the metal reads, “made in the USA” and “gifted to Israel”. We follow that up with repeated statements “Israel has a right to defends itself”. This means we claim: the victims DO NOT HAVE THAT RIGHT!
We claim we will broker a ceasefire if Hezbollah will disarm. How convenient! Israel can then continue terrorizing its neighbors and collect more hostages with little to no resistance.
Why? Why do they hate us?

I don't understand how you thinkink or feel the President Bush is making money because of war casualties. We are no longer in the 15th or 16 century when armies gathered on the battlefields and charged one another. A couple of soldiers provoked the incident, but the "real enemy" has launched over 1,200 missiles - what kind of life would you have if - every time you went out, you may be attacked by a missile. They are not 500 innocent lives - they chose to to support a terrorist group. They may have been forced to remain where they were - but that's how things happen there.

Wars are never about revenge, they're about resources. Israel needs land and the resources in that land. This war is actually an embarrassment to Bush. His family gets most of it's wealth from buying cheap Iraqi oil and selling it to us through Halburton. That's 16% of all the oil the US imports. When Saddam cut Bush's family out of their 20 year deal, he had to go to war. Although Halburtion has made trillions in profits with American blood, not one dime of the $700 billion our country spent has gone back into our treasury. You should be asking why!

It is my belief that NOTHING justifies the taking of human lives so liberally. I think that Bush and Israel probably justify their killings to themselves with an 'ends justify means' scenrio- kind of like how FDR sent all Japanese to camps to make sure that the US was secure during the wartime. Another more radical example: Hitler's mass genocide of the Jews. He told himelf and the German people that Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, etc, were the source of everyone's problems, and how the solution was to kill them and breed a race of "uberhumans".
What Bush and Israel are doing is the same idea, just on a watered-down level. The funny thing is, terrorists are doing it also. So are everyone that kills someone else. So senseless and counter-productive.

Your question/statement is just stupid. Bush is making money off the war? How do you figure? You don't even know the proper count for the people that died in the World Trade Center, and did you forget that there were also ones killed in the plane that went down in Pennsylvania, as well as all those killed in the Pentagon and the plane that hit there? And where did you get your number for how many Iraqi civilians we have supposedly killed? You need to check your facts and stop making up numbers. And what about Saddam? Are you aware of how many of his OWN innocent people he killed while he was in control?
President Bush isn't ordering for innocent Iraqi's to be killed. Our Us Troops aren't storming civilian stores and homes and kidnapping these people who are doing nothing wrong. It's the crazy bastards that want people like Saddam to continue to run that country that are doing all of this. It's the troops that are there to protect the innocent.
As far as what's going on between Israel and Lebanon, of course it's sad that children have been killed. It's always unfair that kids have to be in the middle of something like this that they didn't create! But the Lebanese have supported Hezbollah even though they are terrorist. So like it not, they brought this on themselves. And I like how casual you are when you say "Or in the case of Israel, couple of soldiers for almost 500 innocent lives so far and counting". They didn't ask to be kidnapped, and surley their families think of them as more then just a couple of soliders.
If you're such a supporter of terrorism, why don't you move to a place like Lebanon? I'm sure they'll welcome your kind there. And please don't say that you don't support it, because your making excuses for the Lebanese and they are supporting Hezbollah, known terrorist. And even your remarks about Iraq and the war. Aside from everything Saddam did to his own people, we also know that terrorist were being trained there. Just like we are in Afghanistan continuing to look for Ossama and all of his followers, Bush is trying to get these people out. You might be ok with people coming into your country and flying planes into buildings and killing people, (Talk about innocent children being killed? I see you didn't mention all the innocent kids killed on 9/11) but I'm not ok with it. The more terrorist we wipe out and kill, the better.
You think about this. On 9/11, not one child that was killed that day was put in harms way by their parent's. They were on planes going to see family or school trips, they were on field-trips with their classes. They were going on about their lives without a care in the world, the way a child should! But over in Iraq and Lebanon, those kids are being killed because their parents, and the very people that should be protecting them, are putting them in harms way. It's more important to these adults to support terrorist, then to protect their own babies. Those are the kind of people YOU support.

What question? It seems you're just using the soapbox style everyone else seems to love.
You have an opinion here, not a question. Thank you, though for talking about Israel and not Jews in general. Not all Jews support Israel right now. Just like not all Americans support Bush.
Reasons why this is happening? Who knows?? You can pretend to know all you want but only Bush knows. You'll never figure it out unless someone spills. Pretending to know, as far as I'm concerned, hasn't helped anyone. Michael Moore with his soapbox didn't change anything. The countless sites online talking about conspiracies haven't changed anything. One question in Yahoo! Answers won't change anything either.
Who're you trying to convince here. I already know what I believe and your paragraph won't change anyone's opinion.

As for iraq, speakign from someone who is there now for his second tour, most iraqi's are killed by other iraqi's that should settle that. Oh and we aren't making money we are giving alot up to help these people. As for isreal and lebanon, it is 100% lebanon's fault, they were told to disarm hezbollah, the people didn't want them disarmed, they support the terrorist knowing what that could bring. Its like living nextdoor to someone who killed his wife, if you just let it happen your just as guilty. There are no innocents there minus the children and that is their parents fault. If they were innocent they'd have stood up and fight against hezbollah long before theyd started this. Now time to reap all the hatred the sow'd by supporting terrorists. (and you can't say i dont know what im talking about cause i know more than most)

You need to get your head on straight. Israel was attacked, Israel has the right to defend itself as it sees fit...
Hezbollah was free to NOT attack Israel, yet they chose to do so many times... they also chose to break the cease fire Israel offered.
If the people of a country do not resist the breeding, feeding, housing, and supporting of terrorists, they are NOT INNOCENT civilians. Lebanon continues to support Hezbollah. Iraq has been invaded by Islamo-facists from other Arab countries who continue to murder innocent Iraqis.
The answer is totally up to the Islamo-facists and their supporters.... they can live or they can die, if they choose to continue their Islamo-facist terrorist ways, they are responsible for all related deaths on both sides.
Islamo-fascim is not worthy of support.

Lets see, the middle east was killing our people, killing their own people, and killing others...
If a bully is beating up all the kids after school you are going to stop him
Its not revenge and not wealth. If Bush or Israel wanted those then they wouldnt do anything.
What would you suggest we do? Ok lets say we pull out the troops. Then the middle east goes on killing our and their people. Are just going to sit there and say "peace" while bombs are dropping around us. Get your facts right.

freedom. what we as Americans don't understand is they are not free and at some point in time when a leader is a greater failure then bush(as much as i dislike him) like Saddam. stealing food from his people, killing people to stay in power. somebody has to step in and do something. i don't know anything about Iraq. I'm not claiming i do but i watch the war everyday when we took Baghdad all those people cheered and waived the USA flag and helped rip down Saddam's statue and ripped his posters. they wanted it as much as bush did with whatever just or unjust reasons. the other thing i can say is maybe the men in change have ego's and wealth and want the power to watch city's crumble. we all at one time or another broke something to see what happens. its like kids putting matchbox cars in roads and watching them get run over and broke. putting things on train tracks to watch them get demolished. the leaders have powers and no sense and wars break out. its sucks. innocent people die and most of the time the leaders don't. black sabbath -war pigs. pretty much explains it. Albert Einstein said it. as long as their is man their will always be war. it's like kids fight over a dollar on a larger scale. by the way Allah doesn't want anyone to kill or die in his name and your Muslim faith has tricked into removing the value of life. its funny how different religions dictate life to its needs in these different cultures but people need faith to live so their choose to ignore it and believe in it.live life the best you can and treat others as you would like to be treated and the world would be an awesome place. . its not just to kill innocent people but its war. wars are not fare. is it fair that cancer takes young mothers away from their kids when they need a mom? no. its always about money, land , or power. couple of soldiers for almost 500 innocent lives<---if those were my citizens. you better believe it. if Lebanon doesn't want to rid its country of terrorist. then somebody had too.
