If your bananas are around other fruits they will rot faster and make other fruit rot quicker too.. The best place for them is to get yourself a fruit basket that has the part for bananas to hang above the rest of the fruit!

By putting them in a fridge. If it rots even faster if you keep in the fridge, I think you will have tobuy an other new fridge which has a temperature option which is very very cold.

Avoid bruised bananas showing splits in the skin. Choose firm, green to slightly yellow bunches, and store them at room temperature. It is claimed that bananas taste sweeter ripened off the plant. Eat or prepare bananas when they ripen to a uniform yellow with tiny brown flecks. The skin of bananas turns black when they are refrigerated, though it does not affect the quality of the fruit inside. Very ripe fruit can be peeled, frozen in freezer bags, and used for baking.

If you put them in the fridge, the skin darkens faster, but the banana inside is still good.

I think they make banana hangers that you can buy in the store. you just hang the whole bunch up to where the air can get to them and they will last longer... These things look like curved sticks on a wood plank with a hook on them...Hope this helps

Dear Friend,

Bananas don't stay up good longer and they get rotten faster, more if you keep in refrigerator. Avoid keeping them in polythene covers.Sprinkle some water over them frequently, it delays the time it takes for rottenning...

Better rather I suggest you finish the bananas in time :-)

Bye....
