SHAME on those who say Mary is a demonic spirit and that the Catholic religion made her up!! I can't add to what others have said about the origins of Our Lady of Guadalupe, but I CAN tell you that Mary appears to people all over the world, frequently in the guise of a lady in their own national dress and speaks to them about fidelity and honor to the ONE true GOD and His Son. The words of the Virgin Mary have brought thousands, if not millions, of people into Christianity; into a personal relationship with God!! Whether or not those people are Catholic, God is the One that we WORSHIP; Mary is a person that we, just as Jesus did, ask for help and comfort. A friend of mine, not Catholic has a special relationship with Mary and asked to hold my rosary (a prayer using the Our Father, Hail Mary and other prayers) during her emergency c-section of her daughter. It gave her strength during a stressful time!
If Mary is a demon, why do so many people come TO God because of her????

there are a number of Apparitions across the World. Mary has appeared in many racial forms. I believe in order to show God created all and Jesus is the brother of all and Mary the mother.
Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego (he was a native American not a Mexican, he converted to Catholicism) in the 16 century. She told him to tell the Bishop to build a church in that spot. The bishop did not believe, so Mary (btw Juan Thought she was just a lady too until his Sick uncle was miraculously cured) told him to pick the roses that were now growing there in the middle of the winter and take them to the bishop. Juan gathered them all in his tunic, when he opened the tunic to show the rose there on his tunic was the image of the lady who had appeared to Juan Diego. There have been many scientific studies and the paint is not of this world. Also a magnification of the eyes shows the images of Juan and the people who saw him reveal the tunic. So the bishop build the church which stands to this day, surviving several earth quakes that had completely demolished the near by town.
Guadalupe was the place where she appeared.

Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego sometime in the 16th century, I believe it was. The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is the image which Our Lady left on Juan Diego's cloak.

The latinos think it is the virgin Mary, who appears as a mexican to the mexicans, and a chinese to the chinese and so forth over the world.. Mary was really a Jew so can't be all of these different people and since she is not god she can't be appearing all over the place.. It is really appearances of demonic spirits that are to trick the people into thinking it is Mary..
They say she is the mother of God, but then she would have existed before the world and would therefore be where God came from. She really is the mother of the human body that Jesus was born into..

It is said that a vision of a brown skinned Virgin Mary appeared to an Indian in Mexico in thee 16th Century.
But it is probably just a story created by the Catholic Church because they were having trouble converting the Aztecs and they needed away to bring the Indians into the church.

It was an apparition seen in Mexico in the 1500's by a poor Indian. She claimed to be Mary and made a miracle of roses appear in the middle of the winter. She told them to build her a church and worship her on that site.
It was supposedly Mary who appeared at that time, however, the message this being brought contradicts biblical truth in many ways. The major contradiction is that it tells people to worship it. In Matthew 4:10, Jesus Himself says that we are to worship only God.
Any time an apparition claims to be from God yet tells you to build it a church and worship it, it cannot be from God. God never contradicts Himself and if it says something in the Bible, then God will never contradict that. And if this apparition is not from God and contradicts the Bible, then it has to be from the demonic realm. There is no other possibility biblically speaking.
