This happened to me last night but I am curious on the responses I get. I had to remember my safety first of all.

Safety is always the first thing. I'd ask them to call AAA for me and not roll down the window or get out of the car until the tow truck came. If you are a woman, best to have a cell phone for times like that. Remember to put your emergency flashers on and usually someone will call 911 or a Hwy. Patrol will swing by. I was told something very scary by the head of security at the college I used to work at; there are men that roam the highways at night looking for women who need help. He told me to get a cell phone and NEVER roll down the window or open the door.

Not a good situation. Did you have a cell phone?
Back in the day, you would have to accept help from a stranger if you did'nt want to walk and could usually trust a stranger.
We all live by the grace of God and sometimes take a chance.

In response to the first person. If you are in your car and it was the middle of nowhere. And they wanted to rape or kill you what is a thin piece of glass going to stop? If you are really that parinoid then you need to take a self defence class and get a concieled carry permit.

If someone is nice enough to offer help take them up on it.
