I agree with badbear, but who's fault is it?I dont think cops are interested is stopping "CRIME"at all ,its a money thing. It's easy to ride around town in an airconditioned cruiser talking to friends and family while drinking a cold beer. There is a lot of crime going on while they are writing tickets for failure to use a turn signal. It's all about the working mans money. They are going to get it some way some how.IT'S NOT ABOUT CRIME,IT'S ABOUT MONEY.

Well to be on the phone they usually don't make it longer than 5 minutes and even less most of the time and its most likely an important call!
but what bothers me is when the rookies think that they are all that! when they put their hands on the handcuff's or put their hats on and they thin kthey are some type of cowboy or something like that! there is a lot more, but mostly the wannabe sergeants!

I hate it when they don't follow traffic rules and regulations. I was riding with a police office and he was going 55 in a 30 and smiled at me and said that was one of the reasons he became a cop, just so he could get through town faster. Sad but true.

I didn't realize there was a law against talking on the phone in your car????? You have to admit they have a lot of practice driving and talking. More hours logged than most people. It could have been related to work. To answer your question...the last thing a cop did that bothered me.....was snore. LOL.

It is not against the law in most states to drive and talk on the phone. Cops talk on the phone for job related issues most of the time. As for traffic enforcement, alot of criminals are arrested just by running traffic and running lic plates. They arrest a lot of people on warrants that way and run into the occasional burglar, drug runner, and most definitely drunk drivers. Cops have a tendency to stop people who are breaking the law........imagine that!!!! They don't just run into people and stop people who are abiding the law.

nicely, what do you comprehend, different countries are having crime issues and not in basic terms the U.S., otherwise time-honored through fact the crime capital of the international, accompanied heavily by Mexico in all probability. Over right here we do exactly no longer think of of the right Brits as having criminals. I advise the law enforcement officers do no longer even carry weapons over there. i will merely see a cop over right here no longer being issued a gun. while he catches a perp he merely says to him, cheerio come alongside now, that's a solid lad. the homestead boys could die from giggling.

I followed one cop that was talking to his partner and in less than a mile, had crossed the yellow and side line 16 times!
You try and do it!
They do speed, and at times will use their sirens to get through intersections when they aren't responding to anything!

I am extremely bothered that they are so underpaid. Their job is one of, if not the most, toughest and dangerous in the city, yet they are paid so little that many have to take second jobs. They should be making a doctor's salary!

Many departments train their officers to leave their sirens off unless they have to (like crossing an intersection) when responding to crimes. It reduces stupid things other drivers do when they panic when flashing lights appear behind them.
