Or is there a better food for someone suffering under the yoke of poverty?
Please don't say catfood, I'd be so lucky to be able to afford that.

I use my landlords computer in exchange for cleaning up after his dog.
I should be so lucky to have a computer. You must feel really blessed.

I hope you are joking - here in the joke section. - It needs some work.
The way it is this is a little unclear - kind of a downer. not what I look for here.
lol! the cleaning up dogshi*t - now thats funny. That's what I was looking for ....awwwlright.
I don't know whats up with all of these other people giving you advice and all - I don't believe a word of it. You would not have taken the time to put it in the jokes section if you were truely desolate - you're english and grammar are too good for you to be that ignorant.
That is funny as hell......rock on jellyfish.! ha ha.

This isn't a very funny joke.
No, Ramen is never an appropriate food to give to children. The noodles are deep-fried and contain virtually no nutrition. It has the same vitamin value as fried cardboard.
If you're really that hard up for food, you need to ask for assistance from your community. Virtually any community will have a WIC (Women Infants Children) program to teach you about nutrition and provide you with healthful food resources. Most communities also have some sort of food charity. Take advantage of those resources - they're there to help.
People invest in children's nutritional health because it benefits the entire community. Don't poison your children with ramen noodles.

Ramen noodles are very un-nutritious. One guy told me (and this is uncorroborated) that his friend (that knew a friend that knew a cousin..) went blind eating that stuff for a week. He told me this when I ate Ramen noodles nonstop one spring break in college. To tell the truth, I didn't feel too well either. Actually if you look at the nutrition info there's not much in it ... carbos and lots of sodium. Cereal is pretty cheap and nutritious, with milk -- that's a good breakfast. For lunch, a peanut butter sandwich on enriched bread, with carrot sticks and apples. For dinner, how about mac & cheese, or pasta w/ tomato sauce.. those are pretty cheap too. How about checking out your local food bank? They have lots of donated food there and it's pretty good stuff. Also, do you have an Aldi's where you live? It's a discount grocery store with very good quality -- stuff is generally 50% cheaper than the grocery store. Also Big Lots & Target sell cheap food. Look for sales & use coupons, can save a lot there too.
P.S. why is everyone going on and on about the internet connection? there are free internet connections all over the place, libraries, cafes etc.

they will survive, but they will loose lots of weight and the poor nutrition will make them very susceptible to infections. Call your local Salvation Army which provides free lunches in most cases, apply for food stamps at your county welfare dept, if your kids are in school take them extra early for a free breakfast and they will also get a free lunch. That will leave you with dinner to worry about in which you can use the other resources I mentioned. If I knew what state you live in I could narrow it down but all I can tell you is that you dont have to starve. best of luck .

Ramen, the wonder noodle of the world....could live on it no problem. Might consider multi-vitamin to supplement!!!
Mac & Cheese kept me alive most of my childhood........bologna.......mmmm
Well, it appears some people have never "suffered" throught such things......get what you can afford...they will eat it. Most things nowadays are all the same(not very good for us anyway)
