You sound young. One thing you could have done is gone on a nice simple date, and find out a little bit more about him, he may have been a better guy than you realized. Keep conversation really light. Over the course of the evening or afternoon, you might ask him general questions about what his friend is really like. He'll get the message.
But if he thinks you are a mean girl, he will tell your crush.
Don't make out with the friend if you want the original crush to go out with you.
Take the initiative, and ask the crush out yourself. Again, keep it light and simple.

I say go out with him but make it clear that is only as friends get to know him and see if he could be a better guy than the one you have a crush on. In the other hand if you just don't have anything for him just back away by letting him know that you are interested on another great guy.

You had a crush on the one who called and now you want his friend? You better be honest with the one that called and say you like him as a friend. That is usually a universal deal killer with guys, he'll get the message. Just be sure you are over him. As far as his friend goes, don't know what to tell you there, a bit awkward.

Hey grl, what u do in this situation is u think if his best friend has shown interest in u at all. Then u think about how much you like the guy that asked you out. It's a simple, "who do I like more, and who likes me more." If that don't help, I'm not sure what can.

either stay away from both or be honest with the one who asked you out and just tell him ur intrested in his friend... cuz u hook up wit his friend and dont give him a heads up those two will end up fighting cuz thats how it always goes then 2 days later there over it but still just be honest with him

just tell him no but don't say why! then hope the one you really like asks you out or ask him out your self!! this happened to me once and this is what i did like a week later the guy (his best friend) asked me out ..it worked great for me ..i told the other guy i would just rather stay friends with him ..so he didn't really get his feelings hurt!

I think you should atleast give the guy a chance, and maybe if he dumps you or something. You can just go to his best friend, and you could hook him up with a friend. I dont know, just trying to help.

This one is up to you, but do yourself a favor, and don't wait over one guy. If you do you will miss them all. And to Ricky, why date two people? Dating is showing you what to do and who is out there for when you are ready to get married. You can't marry two people just one.
