I have known many people who consider themselves spiritual, religious, churchgoers; yet, they smoke, curse like a sailor, lead immoral lives, committ crime and fornication. Does your God allow you to do these things? Are you one of those who put more $$$ into the basket, sing higher or "do more things to praise God," thinking that your amount of $$$ that you dropped in will cover your sins? Are you a "holy person" or a "holy-faker" leading a double life? Are you bold enough to confess? Go ahead, that is, if you dare! Give me some feedback here. I look forward to the responses...

I am not saying that one has to be perfect, because "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
However, there are those who deliberately curse, live loose lives, etc. Do not be one of those who waits to committ the action, the ask God to help you overcome the problem. It does not work that way.
Also, many people have the attitude of "so what if I curse, drink, live a loose life," God will forgive me anyway. That is a horribe attitude to cultivate. Just think what happened to those in Sodom and Gomorrah who thought the same thing.
There is a difference between being a sinner and deliberately sinning. Our natural inclination is to do wrong, but sometimes we can be our own worse enemy. If you had a drinking problem and trying to kick the habit, would you associate those who drink alcohol immodestly? Certainly not. Some sins are easily avoided and others are not so easily avoided. Which is why we do our best to live by Godly principles...

Oh Yes I Dare, I don't have to confess anything to you only to God. But I will however tell you my faults, as I am human I have many. I smoke, I curse and consider myself a christian. God has forgiven me my shortcomings by being the sacraficial lamb on the cross through Christ his son. When I asked for forgiveness He forgave my past, present and future sins. Once in grace always in grace, we are to strive to be Christ like. I struggle everyday, I believe he allows us our humanity, but wants our faith in Him to sustain us in our humanity. It is through my faith that I will overcome my shortcomings, one day at a time. The Bible says to: "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" I am, everyday.

Well for me I continue to commit sins because I'm a sinner. I also know that there is no thing or act that I can do to take away those sins--no service I can do for my fellow man, no money I can give, no song I can sing, no ritual I can complete.
I don't smoke and I'm not exactly sure if that's a sin (it probably is, but I won't go there). I personally struggle with occaisonal swearing and lying but a whole lot of egotism.
I am so excited to have a true savior! I could not make it on my own, there is no way. Christ has promised to carry me and I love that. I do continue to work on cutting sins from my life and I make progress, but fortunately the faith of Christianity does not focus on what to "DO" but instead focuses on what has been "DONE"

First off, dont ever think becoming a Christian stops people from sinning, never has and never will... Even Paul admitted to still sinning in Romans 7:14-20. If someone is going to get on you about a sin you commit that they do also, then be angry, otherwise dont expect perfection from anyone.
By the way, if Christians DID live sinless lives, people would hate them even more. I think most of the problem is that non christians THINK Christians say they never sin, but thats not the case at all. Jesus saves us from sin, He doesnt keep us sinless.

Just because I am a Christian doesn't mean I have to be perfect or can be perfect. Christ died on the cross for my sins and because I know and believe that and because I repent of my sins, I am saved. That doesn't mean I can just sin as much as I want and then say I'm sorry and do the same thing again, it just means that I am human and God knows that I'm gonna screw up once in a while and if I am truely repentant and don't continue in my sinful way, then I am forgiven.

It may be hard for you to believe but I do not smoke, drink, or curse. I am actually unable to say one swear word. It is a mental block I have,. I am religious and deeply spiritual. However the kicker is I am not Christian I am a witch. So since I do not have the impossible restrictions of Christianity I am free to pracitce being a good person. All I have to do is follow the laws "An it harm none do what you will. and Love unto all things.

This doesn't really answer your question but is just something to think about. You know, the Bible does not really say much about the sins you are mentioning --smoking, cursing, and surprisingly there really aren't as many sexual prohiitions as people think there are.
The thing the Bible is really big on, though, is injustice to the poor and oppressed -- the impoverished, the orpans, widows, disabled, etc. It is said that the Bible is more about money than sex or other issues -- that is, how money gets distributed in society.
So, something to consider...we are all sinners in more ways than we realize.

Great question! Scripture tells us that if we are alive in Christ, we are dead to sin. in fact, we are told that we have been forgiven of our sins if we repent. does that mean we should continue to sin, so grace may aboud? God forbid it!
I do not like those cute little key chains that say "Christians aren't perfect - just forgiven." stop being hypocritical. if you are a true follower of Jesus, you will follow His greatest command - to love God with all our being and love our neighbor as ourselves. The Bible tells us that we can not use our mouthes to praise God and then curse man. the Bible tells us that we are to be chaste until wed. Please, be aware that not everyone claiming to be a Christian follows Christ. the way to spot the true Christian is by the evidence of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in his/her life - a life of love, joy, peace , kindness, patience, gentleness - read your new testement to learn more!

actually no longer a bad ingredient! as long as your no longer appearing vein approximately it and putting others down, thinking your self attractive is an mind-blowing ingredient! this is a demonstration of solid shallowness and a happy outlook. it is so stressful once you're speaking to human beings and that they initiate off asserting that they are unattractive and want plastic surgical treatment, particularly while they are attractive, with a view to hearken to a female say that she's attractive or feels attractive is marvelous, no longer in basic terms for her, yet for definitely everyone round her! truly, who needs to hold out with somebody who has low shallowness? they only carry the temper precise down.

why do people automatically assume "religious person" means a "christian."
Why can you use the term "religious person", make it so general, then in the end..turn it into something regarding christianity...
IM A RELIGIOUS PERSON...in my OWN faith! what about us other RELIGIOUS PEOPLE that are not of the christian faith?
ugh.
I smoke, drink, curse, have sex..why? because my Gods allow me to be myself.
Not an uptight, naive, big-headed, ignorant idiot like some other religion around here...

we are HUMANS! Jesus died because we sin! All of us sin. Romans 3:10-11 shows us that we will sin. It is in our nature to sin. I don't care how Godly someone claims to be. God says we all sin. Until we die, we will continue to sin.
