i like it looking like a rocker chick's hair. but my mom hates it. she told me that she only liked it when it was profesionally done. but i hate having it like right next to my head.
i like how it looks after i do it myself.
how can i get her off my back?

If you're old enough to straighten your hair yourself, you're old enough to know what hairstyle you want. Explain to your mom that you like it this way, and that you receive compliments on it. Ask her if there's something more to her worrying... for instance, does she think rocker hair is slutty and she's worried you're having sex or what? If her answer is merely that she doesn't like it, nicely tell her that not everyone likes the same things and ask if she'd like you to choose her hairstyle for her!!

The best and most respectable way is to find your look that you are going for on the web or magazines. print or cut them out and show your mother these pics. try to find celebrities that have your "look" that is yours, maybe if she sees it on other people that are successful then maybe, just maybe she will let you express yourself.

Ask her and convince her to also go for straigtening her hair and tell her she will look super cool in it...so she will never pester u
