There are many today who claim to "believe in Jesus," but why do you get involved in politics? Or, why don't you go door-to-door, city-to-city, village-to-village and preach like Jesus did? At the same time, you hate your fellowman. Can you really call yourself a believer of Christ if you get involved in politics? Hit me back with some responses. Oh yeah, I will pose some more questions that will expose some of the religions out there the world over and the world in general.

I saw an answer that told me to go in-depth, so I will. You love Jesus, worship Jesus, whatever. However, Jesus did not involve himself in politics, he did not even make himself King when the Jews asked him to. He came on earth to do the will of his Heavenly father. Morever, Jesus preached to people in Galilee and other surrounding villages and towns.

My question to you is, why do you call yourself a "worshiper of Jesus" and get heavily involved with the political wars, fight and kill innocent people. Jesus loved his people. He even preached to them from door-to-door. 1Peter 2:21 says that Jesus left us a model to follow his steps closely. Why can't we imitate those steps? Jesus never ran for office. He never voted for politicians who break their promises of peace on earth because only one can make that happen and that is Almighty God.

I do not involve myself in politics. I do not fight in wars, because Jesus never engaged in wars. Jesus was neutral in that regard and so am I...

I preach like Jesus did from city-to-city, village-to-village, state-to-state on a consistent basis. If the opportunity presents itself, I preach to my own family members. I do my very best in applying 1Peter 2:21. It is not easy, but I do my very best. I do not hate anyone. Of course, I have those that I am not fond of, but if there was a situation where that person that I am not fond of needed help, I would help them because it is what Jesus would have done.

When asked about his views on paying taxes, Jesus said give unto Cesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. So, I'm figuring if we have to pay taxes, we can complain about 'em being too high and misused and still be Christians. Christ went after the moneychangers in the temple and ridiculed the pharisees (sort of the politicians of that time).

What's the connection between getting involved with politics and hating your fellow man?

Well I would like to support and vote for the people that have and or respect my conservative veiws...

Why would I support someone who calls Christians ignorant hypocritical terrorist... and why would I support someone who stands for immoral unconservative things such as "abortion" and "porn for children"?

Come next election in '08, I'm gonna be voting for some good moral and conservative poeple... not some godless immoral libral....

If I don't I can't blame anyone else for the crumbling of values and morals that I stand for... I am responsible for my part in voting for our Nations leaders...

I have the right as a United States citizen...

God bless

many times verse 9 is taken out of context , neglecting to show the verses till now and after it. right that's the the prompt context, “yet ?don't be talked approximately as ?Rabbi; for One is your instructor, and you're all brothers. 9 “do no longer call absolutely everyone in the international your father; for ?One is your Father, He who's in heaven. 10 “don't be talked approximately as ?leaders; for One is your chief, that's, Christ.” Jesus is coping with a plenty diverse situation. he's pointing out the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and instructors of the regulation. In verses 6 and seven which at present precede the rejection of the titles of honor, Jesus explains in what sense His rejection is meant: "and that they love the region of honor at feasts and the suitable seats interior the Synagogues, and salutations contained accessible places, and being talked approximately as rabbi." right here Jesus is commenting on their superiority complexes. they have effectively set God aside and placed themselves in His place; as a result the comments on being humbled and being exalted. Bible Christians call their ministers "Pastor." Pastor skill shepherd. In John 10:14-sixteen Jesus says, "i'm the solid shepherd. i comprehend my very own and my very own comprehend me, through fact the father is conscious me and that i comprehend the father, and that i lay down my life for the sheep. and that i produce different sheep which at the instant are not of this fold. i'd desire to hold them additionally, and that they're going to heed my voice. So there'll be one flock, one shepherd." If we reason that we can't call a clergyman Father through fact we "have one Father who's in heaven," then can we no longer additionally reason that we can't call a minister Pastor through fact there is in basic terms "one Shepherd?" placing apart and grabbing carry of one scripture verse is risky. this is deceptive or maybe risky. Even an straightforward and nicely-intentioned Christian can subconsciously bend a verse to tournament his or her very own desires. this is totally substantial to comprehend the Bible as God meant. St. Augustine as quickly as suggested, "no longer what one scripture says, yet what all of Scripture says." we are able to take it a step added and say, no longer what Scripture says yet what Scripture skill.
