How do you change a document to Microsoft Works Word Processor?

Question

My resume is saved under Microsoft Word and I can't edit it because my home computer only has Microsoft Works Word Processor.

Ps. I'm not planning to buy Microsoft Word.

if you have time to do it somewhere else, you need to save it in another format. here's how you do it-open it and go to save it-there will be a drop down list of file types to save it as, chose rich text format (.rtf). this makes it universal to any computer. then it will work at home.
p.s. in the future, its best for you to save all documents in rich text format, it saves A LOT of hassle.

Open our resume in Microsoft Word and do File/Save As... in the file type option, choose Microsoft Works (.wps).

What version of Microsoft Works do you have? Works 7.0 can open Word 6.0/95 and Word 97/2002 files directly.

Open your document again in MS Word then use the Save as option then under Save As Type select Works

From your work computer, open up your resume, then:

Click File
Save As

In the last drop down near the bottom, Save as Type, scroll through the list until you see MS Works. Choose the version that is installed on your home computer, then email to yourself, or put it on a removable memory, go home, and have fun!

Well you can do one thing, you can use somebody else MS-Word for opening it, after that you save it in RTF format, and after that you can open with Microsoft Works Word Processor at home.

Try using open office.

Its a free product just like linux. It will allow you to edit your documents and save it in format recognisable by MS word.

you can change it but the formatting will be off. you can right click it and slect open with. it will convert it, but won't always convert it back. Works sucks!!!
