First lets deal with the sin part, if you can count your sins you are far better off than anyone else on the planet. Unfortunately, we will all sin until the day we find ourselves with God, where we will be made whole again through Christ. Repetative sin is difficult to deal with, and something most every christian including myself has had to deal with. We are of the flesh, it is in our nature, but that does not mean we should not try to stop and we need to ask forgivness and truly repent of that sin. We stop or reduce the amount of sin in our lives by giving up control of ourselves to him. I personally like to be in control of my emotions and I have found recently that I need to give up that control to God and let him take care of it. If you are trying to control your sin you are fighting a loosing battle-only God can conquer your sin and you have to allow yourself to rely on him to get past it.
Secondly for a christian sin no longer dictates, wether or not we will go to heaven, because once you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior I do not believe you can loose your salvation, but it will effect your relationship with God. The more sin the more seperated you will feel, the more you can give up control and give to God and the more you ask for forgiveness and his strength to give up that sin the closer your relationship with God becomes. Forgiveness is something all christians should ask for daily, every time they sin.
If you are truly seeking freedom from this sin, you may want to also look to your prayer life, find some information on the Lord's Prayer, it is the ultimate example of how a christian should pray, and spend more time studying the Bible--not just reading it.

i have commited sins, but i don't count them. i do think i will get into heaven because i go to confession.
if you keep doing the same sin over and over, go to confession at your local catholic church. you will feel much better after confessing and the father will help you. you'll feel like a big weight has been lifted off your shoulders. there IS a way out, go to confession and ask god to forgive you.
remember, he forgives all.

it is not the fact that we have committed many sins...but the fact that Jesus is our Redeemer...he set us free from our sin....He paid the price so we don't have to.....now what you are saying is that you have a besetting sin...that is a sin that is reoccurring and no matter how hard you try you cant overcome it...right?....well that is a bondage and you need deliverance.....the Lord is in the business of healing and deliverance.....and ask and you shall receive....start by confessing your need for forgiveness and for your need for deliverance to God ....then ask God to help you overcome in the area you are having trouble with....read the word and see what it says on this area and then walk it out daily by allowing God to lead you through it.......He will not let you down...dont fall into condemnation about it....that isnt from God ...the enemy will try to bring that against you but trust God and you will have freedom

In the bible, somebody asked Jesus on how many times should he forgive his brother. Jesus replied: "70x7". I know that's not literal. God means you should forgive your brother everytime he commits sin. How much more God.
Just ask for forgiveness and strength for you to be able to stop doing whatever that is.
Nobody is perfect. But God promises that whosoever believes in Him, declares his sin and ask for His forgiveness will go to heaven.

It really doesn't matter how many sins I've committed. However, I must forsake sin in order to be in heaven. GOD cannot forgive me while I'm committing sin.

You can live a horrible life and sin gravely, but even on your death bed. If you truly belive in Gods love, forgivness, and mercy I belive He will never condemn his child to Hell.
