How many prayers in the Bible?

Basically the entire book of psalms is a collection of prayers used also as worship. The are additional prayers in other books, the most notible the Lords prayer which is only an example of how christians should prayer. But I can't say I have counted them all.

Okay Dale heres the deal...

To sit there and literally count every prayer is crazy b/c there are at least 300 between the Old Test, New Test, and basic daily prayer...This website will list them all...

well as far as catholic prayers there's really only one. the lord's prayer--'our father who art in heaven...' but there are many other prayers that are based on scriptures, gospels, and various books of the bible. but the lord's prayer is the only one that comes directly from the bible.

don't know... but pretty much every prayer Christians pray either cite verses from the bible or are based on the ideas that come from the bible.

Total number of catholic old testament books is 46 and (45 if Jeremiah and Lamentation books are combined).
