spike, chance, ......I'd have to see the dog and get to know it.

I hate that people are so prejudice against pit bulls. 99% of the time it's the owner's fault. I have 6 dogs 2 of the nicest ones are a pit bull and rottweiler.

doh.. I was actually gonna say killer. Why the heck would you get a pit bull...do you hate your neighbors?

Anyway, I guess we could go with irony. How about Angel? Or maybe Sassafrass (call it Sassy).

Update: Just saw jakes answer. I FULLY agree!

Fluffy. I had a pit I called Laddie, but his whole name was Aladdin Salsippius Suma Menajik Jackson Dayter. (If you know the band Infectious Grooves, this might make sense to you)
My dog I have now I call Lasher.
His whole name is Lasher Louie Lestat Lioncourt.(I am also a fan of Anne Rice.)

We raise registered American Pitbull Terriers and I believe that just like any dog you should get to know them and then base their name on their personalities. I have dogs whose registered names are based on bloodlines but then they have "call" names which we chose based on the character. Some of mine of Jazzy, Belle, Tuff, Baby, & Tory just to name a few.

Well I thought of this name after I had mine named. Now they are banned here so I won't be using it! Dozer! As in pit- BULLDOZER!!! I think it's cute! Bronx is also good.
