First, please understand that those crests are usually of wealthy families, the average family did not have one. Second, there are all sorts of folks out there that will gladly sell you a crest and say it's your families. Third, go to a genealogical site online and see if you can do a little research of your family name. You may find a crest of someones family that matches your family name, you can use that one if you aren't picky. Nobody will know but you!
