I asked this question and it was only answered by those of us who support Enforcing our Laws, and by a couple of people that just wanted to call me names........

So I ask again..............

MSNBC reported that there is 25million tons of Trash Along the Arizona Border Alone as a result of Illegal entering there, and(theres no nice way to say it)just making Pigs of themselves and that state........

Environmentally this is cause for Alarm........................

So are those that Support Illegal Immigration going to Personally go down to the Border to help Clean the Mess up?

Now it's time to "Put Up,or Shut Up"..........

http://usinfo.state.gov/eap/east_asia_pacific/chinese_human_smuggling/smuggling_in_the_press/environment.html

And here is one from Fox...this one goes more in detail...like what is out there and such...
"In the Huachucas, you are almost wading through empty gallon water jugs," said Steve Singkofer, president of the Southern Arizona Hiking Club. "There's literally thousands of water jugs, clothes, shoes. You could send 1,000 people out there and they could each pick up a dozen water jugs, and they couldn't get it all." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,206370,00.html
Very astounding 1,000 people and they still wouldn't be able to get all of the water jugs!!!!
These links are all from different sources......happy reading to those of you who think it's NOT a problem!!

~Aadd on~ I don't get some of you people!!!! We are talking about 25 MILLIONS of POUNDS...not grams or kilos...but POUNDS of trash, clothes, human waste!!! This kind of filth can and will effect peoples' health, the wildlife and not to mention the infrastructure of the land itself!!! And you want to call someone racist and other names only cause they brought it to your attention??!! ALL of you that had NOTHING intelligent to say should be made to go pick up that trash then let's see how indifferent you would be then!!

I would first ask you where you recieved your information. I conducted a search of the MSNBC website and they had no such story. You can quote a source any time to try to make yourself look smart, but until you back that up with an actual site, all you are doing is making yourself out to be an idiot. As far as picking up the trash along the border, I would say that is a job for the State of Arizona and the government of Mexico to work out. We have plenty of illegals entering through the northern border also so why not also petition for people to come to the northern border to pick up trash. Or is it that because most of the illegals entering from Canada are good ol' white folk and it is ok if they leave behind trash.

I am probably considered to be part of that group.. I am NOT pro illegal.. I just despise stereotyping and all the name calling being done to Mexicans on yahoo answers. I don't know where you live, but in 2004 162 tons of trash was removed by volunteers at the Potomac River and the Maryland Dept of Transportation states that 7.5 million dollars is spent yearly to clean up the trash along the roadways. This is one state.. go on-line and see what each state is spending to clean up trash and also trash in State Parks... trash put there by Americans. I will go volunteer to clean up the Arizona border if you volunteer clean up the highways and State Parks in your state. Your question was a good one and you made it with resorting to name calling but most the Mexican haters here do not.

U.S each year dumps 10 million old computers which contains toxic material like Mercury and lead which can cause kidney failure, neurological disorders etc. Cadmium chemical which can lead to cancer are also part of this dump, which is being dumped in developing Asian countries. Above all U.S. dumps around 100 million tonnes of Nuclear waste (mind you which can cause serious health problems) into Russia and other developing countries. So stop worrying abt the 25 million trash on Arizona border and start clearing the mess which is far more hazardous then ur Arizona trash. Any comments.

It's obvious, isn't it? Illegals and their supporters cannot give you a reasonable or intelligent answer. They only name call and post profanity. Criminal mentality?

I agree with you. They should be going down there and helping clean up the border in places where they have left all of that trash. These people just don't have respect for anything! Since much of the "trash" comes from Mexico, I say we deport it in large numbers.

How exactly do they claim it is illegals? They watch them do it, or did they just guess??

From what I read it sounds like drug smugglers, not illegals!

In southern Cochise County, where apprehensions are down almost 48 percent in the current fiscal year, BLM spokesman Bill Childress said he has noticed a marked change in the impact of illegal immigration.

“Here on the San Pedro, we are just not seeing as many undocumented immigrants as we have in past years,” said Childress, who serves as manager of the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. “And we also have not observed as much trash accumulation at traditional pickup sites and camps.”

Because migrant activity has slowed, Childress said his office has been able to focus greater energy on recovering garbage left behind during past years in the more remote areas of the SPRNCA.

“We have gathered trash this year that has obviously been around for many years,” he said.

The BLM’s team leader for Arizona, however, offered a more ambivalent outlook for the state’s public and tribal lands.

“Yes, some areas, like the San Pedro, seem to be showing a decline in the amount of immigrants,” Shela McFarlin said. “But patterns fluctuate, and reports suggest that the (drug and human) smugglers are moving toward central areas.”

As a result, McFarlin said environmental degradation is continuing at the Ironwood and Sonoran Desert national monuments, as well as at the Tohono O’odham Nation.

McFarlin noted that while Border Patrol apprehensions are down in Arizona, drug seizures are up. And she said many of the current problems — abandoned cars and bikes, illegal roads and pathways — appear to be related to the movement of drugs.

Maybe this is where your trash is coming partially from!!

– With lawn chairs, two-way radios, and binoculars, they've come to save the Union. All volunteers, age four to 86, they've descended here from all 50 states via RV, motorcycle, sidecar, and sport coupe.
Across a remote corner of the American Southwest - a honeycombed terrain that helped Apache leader Geronimo elude the US government for years - they are providing eyes, ears, and vacation time to another cause they feel has long eluded the same government: effective immigration law enforcement.

Some 1,500 self-selected volunteers will begin fanning out to designated outposts along the Arizona border Monday in a highly visible - and controversial - bid to help reclaim part of the US-Mexican border. If successful, similar projects are planned in neighboring states in coming months.

I am not pro illegal, but I am pro to charging the people thaat hire them. Being an illegal is a civil offense, employing them is a crime!

And if you read part of the news, you would see much of the is from drug trafficing, not illegals, and in areas that haven't been cleaned up in 20 years!

Well said and I agree. My first thought is that we load the trash into a fleet of semi trailers and dump it in some Mexican town. I doubt theyd notice though.
