It mentions Deborah who was a judge over Israel. Also there is Ester who was a queen. Also, there was a woman named Hulda who was a Prophetess who was highly esteemed . They sought her out over Jeremiah the prophet. And there are over women in the book of Acts.

Yes, Mary, Dorcas (Tabitha), Mary Magdelene, Sapphira, and others. One failed and died the 2nd death or eternal death by sinning against the Holy Spirit, but without women, which made up around 50-65% of early Christianity, Christianity most likely would have been "stunted" in its early growth. These were the women who sold their belongings and donated most to their "brothers" so that everyone could benefit and build congregations. Women were so very important to Christ and his Apostles for their hospitality and kindness. Also, Christ instructed them to teach, with the ONLY EXCEPTION that when teaching with a CHRISTIAN BROTHER to "cover their heads" in deference, so that the angels watching would see it as a sign of submission. (1 Cor. 11:4-6, 10)

not preachers as far as a woman in a position of power. women priests were actually quite common in the early days of christianity (remember mary magdalene was a disciple) but the male dominated society that was slowly converting would have none of that. so they were slowly erased from holding any positions in the church. and the lame tradition has continued. in the catholic church anyway.

The are several books dedicated to important women in the Bible. For instance, the book of Esther tells the story of a woman who put her own life on the line in order to defend her people. you should read it.

Paul referred to Phoebe as a deacon which was the same title he gave himself. There are several mentions of women church leaders.
