mean that he actually wishes to be more than lovers?

I told this woman I was in love with her....and I meant it deeply and truely. Even after all this time I am still madly in love with her. Hell, I didn't just want her for my lover, I wanted her forever. Anyways, sex wasn't even part of the equation...I just wanted to see her smile and hear her laugh.

On the other hand...it could also mean he was desperately trying to get in your pants...use your gut. Is he a stand up fella?

Possibly it does or he may love you at the time he says it but that doesn't mean he will after the glow wears off. Both of you may say and mean those words during the heat of passion. Be friends first tho...because if it fades to a "tamer" kind of love, then it is not all bad.

There isn't enough detail to answer this fully. If he wishes to be your lover, will he be your husband? If he really loves you he will put a ring on your finger to prove it. If he doesn't want to marry is he worth it? It's all up to you.
