Better to have fallen and gotten back up, then to stay in the dirt licking it! Basically this means, it won't do you any good to feel guilty about your bad day - ur human and the road to success is never easy. The trick is to take it day by day, meaning get right back on it tomorrow. As long as one day doesn't turn into a week, into a month, into a year. Then you're going to be ok. And don't deprive urself too much, otherwise you will continually fall of the right track. And if u have a hard time staying away from certain foods tell urself "nothing tastes, as good as thin feels" that always helped me.

Don't use it as an excuse to quit your diet. That would just be punishing yourself worse! Just realize you "fell off the wagon", so get right back on and keep going. Instead look at all the days you DIDN'T cheat and feel proud, instead of guilty.

Depending on the diet and what types of food you're eating, you should allow yourself a few 'sin' snacks. Ice cream or pizza, whatever your weakness is, one or twice a week won't kill your diet. Staying away completely from all of your favorite junk foods, will inevitably lead you to cheat sooner or later, and likely in larger amounts than you should.
Giving yourself a small cheat here and there in predetermined amounts and number of times, gives you control of this.

One day is not going to hurt your diet in the long run, so you shouldn't feel guilty. It won't help if you starve yourself tomorrow, so just go back to the regular diet. Alot of experts recommend having a treat day once in a while anyway...just don't binge and eat 6000 calories in a sitting.

mmhnm... i'm getting truly at a loss for words once I initiate questioning approximately religions and all those questions approximately why we are right here and stuff.. and wager they only have self assurance that God deliver them right here for a reason, that's to help human beings... like by doing solid deeds they are attempting to bathe away their sins? I advise, Christians are sort human beings afterall and yea, i do no longer think in a million/2 of the stuff through fact in case you study the bible, an mind-blowing form of it does not make sense from a legal perspective.

When we feel we are cheating, we often punish ourselves; we make ourselves feel guilty, frustrated and defeated. Replacing the negative concept of "cheating" with the idea of "straying from healthy habits" takes away the all-or-nothing emphasis on right and wrong. If you treat every deviation from your plan as a failure, you won't get very far.

I keep a "diary" of what I eat every day. If I want something that I know I shouldn't be eating, I remind myself of how horrible I feel when I have to write it down. You can also try this method: everytime you want something unhealthy, eat something that you like that's good for you. Try peaches, apples, any kind of fruit at all!

Well, wat is past is past. Give yourself a pat on the shoulder and promise to do better the next time.
Move on, your diet would not crumble if you took ONE SCOOP of ice cream. However, constantly being off course WOULD have detrimental effects.
Review about why you wanted to lose weight and how important it is for you to do so and make sure you stick to your diet the next time.
You are the best!
