Maybe not scared of as much as scared for. You can't see air, but you know its there. I don't think a person can just form an opinion about Christians because of a few that are more fanatic than Christian. Yep, love thy neighbour, we try, we are human...and sinners. I'm at a loss as what you want for concrete proof...all I can say is when you choose to believe, that's when God reveals Himself and his plan for your life. You have to look for Him. I like to think when He sees us trying, He meets us half way. The best thing for you to do, is research yourself, don't believe what people tell you unless you've seen it or researched it yourself.

what decision to not believe in a diety
how can anyone believe in anything without empirical evidence, just beause someone else says they do
whats wierd is they have this relationship with a dead man who they have this book that says he comes back
this book says in 1 john 2.22 that they have the truth and anyone who says other wise is a liar
thats cult behavior
this book starts off with all kinds of violence most of it from this god thing
floods, sulphur, he apparently favours israel to go and kill anyone who is "wicked"
and we see israel putting helicopter gunships in civilian neighborhoods
with logic like this is it any wonder atheists are on here everyday asking as many questions as they can trying to disconvert
without any empirical evidence of god, the question is what is the appropriate doctrine
jesus, allah, judism christianity islam buddha
what decision to not believe, the reality is we sit here as atheists waiting for empirical evidence, a miracle, so that we can believe
not that we fear hell or hades (yes do a search in bible gateway hades is in it) and its not that we are afraid of such a place, just the reverse,
who wouldnt want to know that when they die they get to go to the magical place on the cloud where the creator will be to make us all happy
the thing is, some religions say that there way is the only way, and that other ways are wrong,
so, in the absence of empirical evidence, we are not going with the wrong religion
this isnt a decision, we havent made our decision, we are simply saying to those who threaten us with hell and say theres is the only way to avoid it please please give me some empirical evidence because if not im believing what you say based on strength of your personality and that i like you and not tom the jehovah witness down the street who claims his doctrine is the only way
if god made a broadcast on cnn of course we would believe in him,
until then, we can't believe because in believing without empirical evidence we risk not believing correctly
this is not a decision, its waiting the neccessary evidence that the theist apparently has but wont show us, to make that decision to follow the same way they do

I basically say "yeah so?" This usually provides that form of guy or woman further reason for a good extra dramatic chimp out, hence they advance into my knowledgeable monkey that performs on command. I ought to admit, I even have infrequently encountered such human beings, and that i stay interior the bible belt. yet we don't precisely return and forth interior the comparable circles the two.

well i never knew anyone who's scared of Atheists. This is interesting. As a Atheist myself, I'm kinda offended by people who are so freaking scared. Aren't people that believe in other religions more scary in a way?
P.S. I hate Christian converters who try to convert me every single second. If I respect your beliefs, please do respect mine too

I dont know why anyone would be scared of a different ideology
the only type of ideology I would fear is the one that wants to take away any of my basic human rights.
but then again thats just me ;)

God never changes, why should His word change?
Thats just an excuse to not beleive in God.
And no one should fear anyone. Especially atheists.
