already tried to make reservations at 5 campgrounds and we were told we could not because you had to be 25. something about being family oriented.

I have never heard of this before. But then again I never make reservations when there are free places to camp on crown land all over the country.

However I suggest you try getting a reservation at a Provincial park rather than a privately owned campground.... I dont think they have any age limit or policy about having to be 25, at least not here in Ontario. Go here to find a park where you are coming to visit... http://www.pc.gc.ca/index_e.asp

I've never heard this before in my life?? I think you can camp at any age. I remember camping with a bunch of my friends when I was 15. If some campgrounds have age restrictions it's probably b/c they're concerned with uncontrolled fires, drinking etc. I can't see ANY campground having issues with someone who's 18. Check this site out, are you from Canada or visiting?

You need at least one person over 25 in the party to make the reservation.. Campgrounds don't want a bunch of teenagers making everyone's life hell with noise and partying.

Camp at any campground. You may be confusing this with car rentals, that you must be 25 for.

I don't think ALL of Canada has one policy for camp-ground rentals. I think the particular camp you called has a policy because they are trying to cater to a particular clientele. As campgrounds are privately owned, they can make their own rules.
