This guy basically lies to me and says all these girls are friends when he is really a big whore and trying to sleep with all of them and it ended up affecting me .. so i decided to just stop speaking to him... but he is good friends with alot of my good friends so i am stuck beign around him alot.... is it imature to ignore him and not speak to him or should i be cordial eventhough i think he is a horrible person ?

its not immature... its better than being a fake and a hipocrite and go around smiling pretending that everything is cool when it really isnt.
another thing you can do, is tell him exactly what you think of him... after you get that off your chest, and he knows how you feel... it will make it clear to him where you stand and what you think of his "ways" and believe it or not, that will make it easier to be around him when necessary.

nope i dont think you should talk to him. if he is going to treat you like that then you dont need to be his friend. my ex boyfriend pulled that little stunt of cheating on me and then telling people he didnt. i just dont talk to him when im around him because all of my friends are his friends.

Ignoring him is immature. Be polite -- but after what he's done, that's all he's entitled to.
